Superstars V8 Next Challenge

Superstars V8 Next Challenge is a car racing game, based on the Superstars Series focused on Italy, and is a sequel to Superstars V8 Racing. The game includes both real-world teams, professional drivers, and real tracks - many of which are located in Italy, as well as online play.

Though receiving far less attention than its predecessor, the game received an average score of 68%, with overall agreement that Next Challenge is an improvement with its AI and loading time, among other criteria.

This game originally received a 2-star rating, due to the 3 online trophies. However, due to a squabble over funds, the server was pulled in late 2012. As a result, those 3 online trophies can no longer be collected, making the Platinum for Superstars V8 Next Challenge not obtainable.

The Platinum cannot be obtained due to the servers being pulled, making the 3 online trophies unobtainable. However, if you still wish to acquire the other 32 offline trophies, here are some tips:

First, you'll want to disable all penalties. This will make things far easier.

If you want to first get used to the controls and overall gameplay, we recommend working towards the We Don't Need No Education trophy by completing all the Superstars Licenses to an S evaluation.

Next, you can start on the four championships. Use a different team for each, to unlock videos, which will work towards the Collector trophy. You will also need to unlock prizes and race pictures - check out the objectives by going to "Extras" in the game menu, and see the guides under our Links tab for extra tips.

Superstars V8 Racing

Superstars V8 Driving first hit the arcades in April of 2009, and was brought to the console later that summer. The title is a car racing game, based on the Superstars Series, which is focused on Italy. The game includes 11 real-world teams, 19 professional drivers, and 10 tracks - seven of which are located in Italy.

The game received fairly decent reviews, with an average score of 63%. Not as glamorous as the Gran Turismo series, but worth the cheaper budget.

With no online trophies, you simply need to play through the game about 4 times to collect all the necessary trophies for the Platinum. A high 1-star rating, but still rather easy.

Depending on your racing skill level, the time required is anywhere between 10 to 15 hours for the Platinum.

A nice way to start the game and get used to the controls and tracks, is to begin with the training mode. You'll need to beat 9/10 record times to get the King Of Hour Glass trophy. Then, select your best track, and race it for 15 laps for the Mister Tester trophy.

Then, you can start on your Superstars Licenses, in which you'll need to complete them all to the platinum medal. Afterwards, move on to the championships, which you'll need to finish four times - one for each difficulty.

Afterwards, it's just a matter of mopping up. Check out the Superstars V8 Racing trophy guide links under our Links tab for further tips on individual trophies.
