PlayStation Plus Free Games October 2022

Itā€™s back to school for some of us, and a completely ordinary month for the rest of us. One thing that we all have in common this month is what freebies weā€™ll be playing on the PlayStation. And so without further ado, here is the next line-up of PlayStation Plus free games October 2022 available for download on Tuesday, October 4.

First, for both the PS4 and PS5, thereā€™s Hot Wheels Unleashed, the arcade-style by Milestone. Choose a vehicle from the Hot Wheels franchise and race miniature tracks set in a home. The game includes local split-screen, online multiplayer with up to 12 players, a career mode, time trial, and a track editor.

Next, for the PS4, thereā€™s Injustice 2, the 2017 fighting game based on the DC Universe. The roaster includes 28 playable characters, and the newly added Gear System, a loot-dropping system that rewards players with costumes and equipment.

Lastly, for the PS4, thereā€™s Superhot, a first-person shooter developed by Superhot Team. Use guns and other weapons to take out your enemies, where time moves only when the player moves, allowing you to strategize your attack in slow motion.

All three titles in the PlayStation Plus free games October 2022 line-up have Platinum trophies to unlock.

Among these, the Platinum for Superhot is perhaps the quickest at around 20 hours of gameplay required. The game has a mixture of easy and tricky trophies, which brings the overall difficulty up to average.

The Platinum for Hot Wheels Unleashed is arguably the easiest of the three, although the time trials can be a bit challenging at times, with roughly 30 hours of gameplay required.

Injustice 2ā€™s Platinum is of average difficulty, though requires a fair amount of time, grinding, and luck, clocking in at around 80-100 hours of gameplay.

Monster Energy Supercross: The Official Videogame

Monster Energy Supercross: The Official Videogame is a motorcycle racing game, based on the 2017 Monster Energy Supercross Season. The game includes bikes and athletes, as well as tracks, from both the 250Sx and 450Sx classes, with over 80 different official brands. Players can customize their riders, as well as their bikes using real-life parts and accessories. The game also includes a Track Editor, which allows for creating tracks which can be shared online.

Monster Energy Supercross: The Official Videogame received lukewarm reviews with an average score of 66%, praised for its visuals, game physics, and added track editor, but criticized for overall not adding anything new to the series.

This is a high 1-star rating, only because thereā€™s a slight learning curve to the controls, and thereā€™s some grinding involved. However, the game can be played on Easy mode, and there are no missable trophies to worry about. The five online trophies involve the Track Editor and so donā€™t require any boosting. Overall, a fairly easy game which doesnā€™t require much time.

Expect around 10-12 hours for the Platinum.

It should first be noted that the game can be played on Easy mode, though expect to earn less credits and prestige points. This might add another hour of gameplay, but will make things overall easier, so the choice is yours.

Start by heading into Career mode, where after completing the tutorial and customizing your character, you will need to complete three Seasons. These include two in the 250 category, and one in the 450 category. As you go through, aim to win all the races in order to unlock their respective trophies along the way.

There are a few other miscellaneous trophies you can work towards during your playthrough in Career mode, though we recommend especially focusing on the Ten Little Holeshots trophy. This involves getting a total of 10 Holeshots, which means being in the first position after the first turn in a race. This cannot be grinded using the rewind feature, which means you can only manage to get one holeshot per race. This is why itā€™s a good idea to get the Ten Little Holeshots trophy out of the way during your Career mode playthrough.

After completing your Career mode playthrough, you should have a good chunk of the trophies unlocked.

Next, itā€™s time to work on the Following In The Footsteps trophy. This involves winning a 450 Championship while playing as R. Dungey. There are a total of 17 races, though you only need to finish first overall.

After that, there are five online trophies related to the Track Editor. Youā€™ll need to create five Custom Tracks to unlock both the My Way and Seems To Be Enjoying It trophies. Then, youā€™ll need to play a total of 30 Main Events in Custom Tracks created by other players for the Thanks For Coming, Come Back Soon, and Youā€™re One Of The Family trophies. We recommend finding a short track that can be completed quickly. Also, you can complete the same track 30 times to unlock all the respective trophies, as long as you return to the Main Menu after each race, and not select restart.

Finally, itā€™s time to simply mop-up the remaining trophies youā€™re still missing. Win championships to reach 3 million SX Credits for the Lap Of Luxury trophy, and use the Track Editor to create a track with long straight lines to make the Inexhaustible trophy easier. Be sure to check out the Monster Energy Supercross trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you still need and their requirements.

MotoGP 14

MotoGP 14 is a Grand Prix motorcycle racing game and based on the 2014 MotoGP World Championship. The game includes all circuits, teams, and riders, as well as all three classes including Moto3, Moto2, and MotoGP. The game utilizes a new sound and graphics engine, as well as revamped physics. In addition to the single player career, championship, Grand Prix, and time attack modes, the game also includes a Scenario Mode where players compete in races based on specific MotoGP events from the past. Also included is a 12-player online mode.

MotoGP 14 received positive reviews with an average score of 74%, praised for its overall improvement over the previous installment, content, and its multiplayer function, though criticized for lacking in improvements in graphics on eighth generation consoles, its sharp learning curve, and technical issues.

MotoGP 14's has arguably one of the easier Platinum trophies in the game. Most of the trophies will unlock naturally as you progress through the Career mode, which can be played on Easy mode. There are three missable trophies which, as long as you race with a particular bike, can easily be unlocked. There are five online trophies which, with the exception of one, are simply for playing and completing online races without requiring actual winning.

Expect roughly around 25 hours for the Platinum, depending on skills and previous racing game experience.

NOTE: The trophies on the PS4 have a separate list from those on the PS3 and PS Vita.

If you wish to make things easier, head into options and set the game to Easy mode. In addition, you can also select full racing assists, no penalty timer, maximum of six replays, and the shortest race length. You can start by racing through Moto3, the first of three offline Championships. If you're playing on Easy mode, then this shouldn't be particularly difficult. You will unlock a good chunk of trophies naturally as you make your way through Moto3.

Next, it's time to work through Moto2, the second Championship. Completing this should not only unlock the At The Court Of The Champions trophy for signing a contract with a MotoGP team, as well as grant you all the helmets necessary for the Fasten Your Helmet trophy upon reaching level 24.

After that, it's time to complete MotoGP, the third and final Championship. This is where you will need to unlock the three missable trophies. If you wish to avoid running through the Championship three times, then back up your save either to the PS+ Cloud or a USB drive, then sign a contract with one of the three teams, win the next race to unlock its respective trophy, then reload your save. Rinse and repeat until you have unlocked the Ducati Love, Honda Love, and Yamaha Love trophies.

After completing the three Championships, it's time to mop-up the remaining offline trophies. This will include completing the 34 challenges in the Challenge the Champions mode and Real Event mode, and possibly a few others for performing wheelies, etc. Be sure to check out the MotoGP 14 trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you're still missing, and their requirements.

At any point, you can hop into multiplayer to unlock the five online trophies. Your ultimate goal will be getting the Online Expert trophy for completing 25 races, though hopefully you should also unlock the Split Time Dominator trophy for winning a Split Times race, as well as the other remaining online trophies, along the way. Superstars V8 Racing Trophy Guide

Superstars V8 Racing Trophy Guide. Difficulty: * Ā A car racing game based on the Superstars Series, brought from the arcade to the console. Fairly easy as racing games go, with four playthroughs required for the Platinum trophy.

Superstars V8 Racing

Superstars V8 Driving first hit the arcades in April of 2009, and was brought to the console later that summer. The title is a car racing game, based on the Superstars Series, which is focused on Italy. The game includes 11 real-world teams, 19 professional drivers, and 10 tracks - seven of which are located in Italy.

The game received fairly decent reviews, with an average score of 63%. Not as glamorous as the Gran Turismo series, but worth the cheaper budget.

With no online trophies, you simply need to play through the game about 4 times to collect all the necessary trophies for the Platinum. A high 1-star rating, but still rather easy.

Depending on your racing skill level, the time required is anywhere between 10 to 15 hours for the Platinum.

A nice way to start the game and get used to the controls and tracks, is to begin with the training mode. You'll need to beat 9/10 record times to get the King Of Hour Glass trophy. Then, select your best track, and race it for 15 laps for the Mister Tester trophy.

Then, you can start on your Superstars Licenses, in which you'll need to complete them all to the platinum medal. Afterwards, move on to the championships, which you'll need to finish four times - one for each difficulty.

Afterwards, it's just a matter of mopping up. Check out the Superstars V8 Racing trophy guide links under our Links tab for further tips on individual trophies.
