The Walking Dead: The Final Season

The Walking Dead: The Final Season is a third-person point-and-click graphic adventure, based on the comic book series by Robert Kirkman. The game is the fourth and final installment in Telltaleā€™s The Walking Dead series. Telltale Games developed the first two episodes, up until their bankruptcy in October 2018, while the final two episodes were completed by Skybound Games. Similar to previous titles in the series, players solve puzzles, interact with other characters, and make choices which can impact future events in the story.

Taking place three years after the events of The Walking Dead: A New Frontier, Clementine is on the road with AJ, whom she continues to raise herself, teaching him how to survive in the post-apocalypse. Following a car accident, they are invited to stay at Ericsonā€™s Boarding School for Troubled Youth, run by its surviving students. However, a new threat looms on the horizon for Clementine, AJ, and the kids at the school.

The Walking Dead: The Final Season received overall positive reviews across its four seasons, with an average score of 77%. The game was praised for its characterization, story choices, and overall improvement over its predecessors, though criticized by some for redundant free-roaming gameplay and some technical issues.

Unlike other games in The Walking Dead series, the Platinum for The Final Season cannot be unlocked in one playthrough, and will require some backtracking using the chapter select. Also, the game includes some collectibles to find, and other miscellaneous trophies. However, while you canā€™t simply play through the story and automatically get the Platinum, this is still an easy game with a guide.

Expect around 8-12 hours of gaming for the Platinum, depending on how much backtracking you do.

If you simply want to play through and enjoy the story, you can. Just be aware that unless you make some strategic backup saves, you will need to do a lot of backtracking with the Episode Select. Otherwise, you can use one of the Walking Dead The Final Season trophy guide links and guides under our Links tab to unlock as many trophies as you can on your first playthrough, and risk spoiling the story. The choice is yours.

It should be noted that each of the four Episodes contains a few collectibles to find, as well as some miscellaneous trophies. Again, check out the Walking Dead The Final Season trophy guide links under our Links tab to get familiar with each set per episode, so youā€™ll know what to watch out for and not miss anything.

Only Episode 4 will allow you to unlock all its trophies in one playthrough, provided that youā€™re following a guide for finding all the collectibles and completing the miscellaneous trophies.

In Episode 1, you will need to select to either go hunting or fish. Select Fishing if you are aiming to get all the collectibles. Also, hunting will require another two selections, so either make a backup save on the PS+ Cloud or a portable HD if you wish to avoid backtracking.

In Episode 2, you will need to select to either following Violet or Louis. Each choice has a trophy tied to it.

Finally, in Episode 4, you will need to choose to either have confidence in AJ or not, which again will lead to the possibility of unlocking two different trophies.

Walking Dead

The Walking Dead is a third-person, point-and-click graphic adventure, based on the successful comic book series by Robert Kirkman, which also inspired an AMC TV show. Divided into 5 Episodes, players must solve puzzles, settle arguments, and save lives in mini-games while making decisions that impact future events in the story.

Players take control of Lee Everett, a convicted felon on his way to prison when the zombie outbreak begins. After surviving a police car crash and undead attack, Lee travels through the state of Georgia, meeting a variety of characters and searching for a means to survive. Though a continuous story, each episode has its own individual plot and goal.

Despite being noted for having a few glitches, The Walking Dead has earned high praise, each Episode receiving average scores of 87%, and earned several 2012 Game Of The Year awards, such as from GamesRadar and USA Today, as well as Best Downloadable Game at the Spike Video Game Awards.

For more information, check out our Walking Dead Review.

No collectibles, no missable trophies. All you need to do is play through the game, from start to finish, and the Platinum is yours.

Every trophy is related to completing each of the 5 episodes - regardless what decisions you make along the way - and completing each of the several chapters within those episodes.

Each episode take around 1-2 hours, depending on whether you're following a walkthrough or trying to figure things out yourself. Overall, the platinum will take around 6-10 hours.

NOTE: The trophies on the PS4 have a separate list from those on the PS3 and PS Vita.

The roadmap for The Walking Dead is simple: play the game. As mentioned earlier, every trophy is story-related, earned after completing each episode and their chapters. While you'll need to make choices along the way, some of which may determine who lives and who dies, these have no bearing on the trophies, nor are there any missable or collectibles.

Simply sit back and enjoy the game, where a shiny new platinum awaits at the end of this dark tale.

This is one game which doesn't require a trophy guide. However, we do have some walkthroughs under our Links tab in case you get stuck figuring out what needs to be done to progress the story.
