Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture

Everybody's Gone to the Rapture is a first-person exploration adventure, and the spiritual successor to Dear Esther, also available on the PlayStation 4. Players walk on foot while exploring a small English village, interacting with objects such as doors, phones, radios, and power switches, while also interacting with floating lights scattered throughout the area.

Set in the 1980s, the player-character is in a fictional village named Yaughton, located in England. The town seems void of live, as all the inhabitants have suddenly disappeared. The player-character must explore the town and piece together clues to explain what occurred.

Everybody's Gone to the Rapture received positive reviews with an average score of 80%, praised for its graphics and beautiful landscape, as well as its journey through the story, while criticized by some for a lack of interaction. The game also won several British Game Awards for its music, writing, and artistic qualities.

The game doesn't require any skill, as you're simply exploring and finding collectibles. If you're using the guides in our Links page, finding all the collectibles and performing the requirements doesn't take very long. The platinum can be earned in two playthroughs, though your second run will only tae less than three hours of your time.

Expect roughly 10-14 hours of gameplay for the platinum.

It should be noted that the Point of No Return is entering Stephen's bunker in Little Tipworth. Make sure you've completed all you need to do before heading in, as you won't be able to backtrack afterwards. Also, collectibles you found will Not carry over to your next playthrough, so if you don't want to risk having missed something and replaying the game, it's a good idea to save your file to a USB or online storage.

Also, you can hold the R2 button to move around a little quicker.

So, if you're in a rush for that platinum, your first playthrough should be unlocking every trophy except for Radio Enthusiast and Open Ended. There are a number of trophies related to performing specific events, which you'll need to check one of the trophy guides in our Links page. Also, in order to unlock the Completionist trophy, you will need to turn on all televisions and computers, use all the telephones, orange and silver radios, as well as trigger all the main and side events. If you follow one of the walkthroughs in our Links page, you should be fine. Also, it should be noted that you needn't stay and listen to the full phone conversations or radios - simply activate them.

Make sure you've unlocked all the trophies you can at this point BEFORE going into the bunker, and found all the collectibles required for the Completionist trophy. After going into the bunker and eventually finishing the game, you will unlock The End and the Completionist trophy.

If all went well, then you should only have two trophies left. Start a new playthrough, and this time go for ONLY the orange radios, in order to unlock the Radio Enthusiast trophy. Do not activate any main story events, as it will nullify the trophy. Once you've found all 24 orange radios, the trophy will unlock. After that, complete only Stephen's story to allow you entrance to the bunker and finish the game, to unlock the final, Open Ended trophy.

If you happened to miss any trophies at this point, now would be the time to start a third playthrough and mop them up.
