Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark

Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark is a third-person action shooter based on the Transformers franchise, and is the third title in the Cybertron series. Players select from a roaster of transformer characters, each with their own unique abilities, with upgradeable weapons. The game also includes a new online multiplayer mode called Escalation, in which up to four players fight off waves of enemies. The online servers were closed in Spring of 2020.

The storyline is split between events on Earth which take place before the events of the 2014 film Transformers: Age of Extinction, and on Cybertron taking place before the events of the 2012 game Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. Both storylines surround the Dark Spark, a powerful artifact which can tear holes in dimensions, allowing the two Transformers universes together.

Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark received negative reviews with an average score of 44%, praised for its co-op multiplayer and interesting weapons, but criticized for campaign and storyline and unbalanced difficulty level.

The game was first released in June 2014, and would have received a low 2-star difficulty rating. Unfortunately, Activision closed the online servers to many of their Transformer game titles without warning, in Spring of 2020. Since Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark has 13 online trophies which can no longer be unlocked, the Platinum has therefore become Not Obtainable.

NOTE: The trophies on the PS4 have a separate list from those on the PS3.

Since the online servers were closed in Spring of 2020, the 13 online trophies, as well as the Platinum, have become Not Obtainable. However, if you still wish to continue collecting those 37 offline trophies, then read on.

There are no difficulty-related trophies, so feel free to start the campaign on Easy mode.

Since there is a chapter select available, there are no missable trophies to worry about. However, if you wish to avoid replaying missions, be sure to check out the Transformers Rise of the Dark Spark trophy guide links under our Links tab for the chapter-specific trophies. These include the Snitches Get Stitches trophy in chapter 1, the Spectacularly Amazing trophy in chapter 3, the Softly Softly Catchee Monkey trophy in chapter 5, the No One Gets Outta Here Alive trophy in chapter 6, the What Could Go Wrong trophy in chapter 7, the I’d Like To Leave Here Please in chapter 8, The Sting Like A trophy in chapter 10, the You Get Nothing Good Day Sir trophy in chapter 11, and both the Tread Lightly and Make Peace Not War trophies in chapter 13.

There are also several collectibles to find. Though luckily, many of these are restricted to one or two chapters. Again, check out the Transformers Rise of the Dark Spark trophy guide links under our Links tab for more details.

After completing the campaign, use the chapter select to mop up any missed trophies, excluding the Covenant Of Primus trophy.

Once you have reached Rank 25, you can activate Prime Mode, which gives you some special abilities, but removes all your weapons and upgrades as you are reset back to Rank 1. You will also lose all progress towards kill-related trophies, and collectibles. For this reason, save activating Prime Mode for last. Once you do, you will unlock the Covenant Of Primus trophy.

Unfortunately, with the servers closed down, this is as far as we can go.

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is a third-person action shooter, and a sequel to the 2012 Transformers: War of Cybertron. Players can select from a variety of Transformer characters, each possessing unique abilities, as well as the ability to upgrade. The game also includes a co-op survival mode, and online multiplayer.

Following the events of War of Cybertron, the Transformer’s home planet has been left unable to sustain life, forcing the Autobots to flee on board the Ark.

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron received positive reviews with an average score of 78%, praised for its story, voice-acting, and variety of playable characters, though criticized by some for technical issues such as frame rate.

While the majority of the trophies are not too difficult, a playthrough on its hardest mode is required, and can be tricky at times. Most of the time will be spend online, which requires a fair number of hours to unlock all the trophies, hence the 3-star difficulty level. Overall, while challenging at times, the game is more time-consuming than difficult.

Expect anywhere between 40-50 hours, depending on skills and whether or not the online trophies are boosted.

NOTE: The trophies on the PS4 have a separate list from those on the PS3.

You will need to complete the game on Hard mode in order to unlock the All Hail You trophy. Hard mode is available from the start, so if you wish to avoid a second playthrough, feel free to start there.

If you prefer to play on an easier mode first, just keep in mind that there is no New Game+. However, you can use the Chapter Select to replay levels set on the harder mode when you feel you’re ready.

Either way, during your first playthrough, you will be unlocking a number of story-related trophies. There are also some chapter-specific trophies which you can either go for now, or wait and use the chapter select later. Check out the Transformers Fall of Cybertron trophy guide links under our Links tab for more details.

Lastly, there are some collectibles to find. These include finding all the blueprints for the Beachcomber trophy, and all the audio logs for the Cassetticon Audiophile trophy. If you want to knock these out during your first playthrough, check out the location guides under our Links tab.

Once you’ve ultimately completed your Hard mode playthrough and unlocked all the offline trophies, it’s time to head into multiplayer. For the basic multiplayer, there are nine trophies to unlock. There are four trophies for playing each of the four multiplayer modes, and four trophies for getting all four character classes to Rank 25. Finally, you will need to come in first place in any public match for the Full Throttle Scramble Power trophy.

Lastly, it’s time to play some Escalation, where you will team up with three other players and fight off waves of enemies. You will need to reach the final wave on each of the four maps to unlock their respective trophies. If you’re looking for some good players, check out the boosting forums under our Links tab.

Transformers Devastation Trophy Guide PS4

Transformers: Devastation

Transformers: Devastation is a third-person hack and slash action game based on the Transformers franchise. Specifically, the characters and cartoon-like graphics are based on the 1980's Transformers animated TV series. Players control one of five Autobots, each using a variety of melee and long-ranged attacks, as well as possessing unique special abilities. Players use Credits earned in the game, to purchase new weapons and upgrades.

During a run in with the Decepticons in New York City, the Autobots learn that Megatron has an ancient ship in his possession with the ability to terraform planets to support Cybertronian life. Optimus Prime and the Autobots must stop Megatron's plan before all life on Earth is destroyed.

Transformers: Devastation received positive reviews with an average score of 77%, praised for its presentation, graphics, and nostalgic feel, though criticized by some for the game's short length and poor camera angles.

The Platinum is fairly average in terms of both difficulty and time required. The most challenging trophy will be for completing the game on Commander difficulty while achieving the highest rank. However, making back up saves on the PS+ Cloud or a USB HD will make this a little easier. The game also requires multiple playthroughs, and collectibles to find.

The Platinum can be earned in roughly 25-30 hours, depending on skills.

NOTE: The trophies on the PS4 have a separate list from those on the PS3.

Start things off by playing through the game with each of the five characters. There is a trophy for completing the game with Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Wheeljack, Sideswipe, and Grimlock. You can select any difficulty mode you like. However, keep in mind that the higher the difficulty, the more experience and credits you'll earn. Also, focus on upgrading whichever character you feel most comfortable with for your Commander playthrough later, rather than sharing the upgrades with all the characters.

Also, there are a number of collectibles to find. These include 30 Logos, 13 Kremzeeks, 22 Decepticon Flags, 14 Decepticon Spy Ops, and 12 Mystery Objects. So be sure to hunt for these during one of your five playthroughs, in order to unlock the No Stone Unturned trophy. You'll also need a sniper rifle in some situations, so be sure to bring one during your collectible hunt. If you're having trouble finding them, be sure to check out the collectible locations guides under our Links tab.

Finally, there are some attack and kill related trophies, as well. Try to unlock these during your five playthroughs, as well. If you miss some, you can always mop-up later.

After your five playthroughs, it's time for the most difficult part on your road to the Platinum. Your playthrough on Commander difficulty, while achieving an SS rank. You'll need to get bonus points for headshots and Reversal headshots, rush attacks, vehicle attacks, focus, paries, and status inflictions. This, in addition to completing the battles quickly with little damage. If you have access to the PS+ Cloud, or have a USB flash drive, you can backup your save, then reload if you make mistakes.

With that done, it's all downhill from there. Next, you'll need to beat all 50 challenge missions, in order to unlock both the Halfway There and All Clear trophies. While some of these can be tricky, they should feel quite easy after getting an SS rank on Commander difficulty.

Lastly, it's time to mop-up whatever you're missing. These might include the boss-related trophies, and of the kill or attack related trophies, and anything else you still need for the Platinum. Be sure to check out the Transformers Devastation trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you still need and their requirements.
