Cars 2

Based on the Pixar film of the same name, Cars 2 is a third-person racing game in which Lightning McQueen and Master are joined with British Intelligence agents Finn McMissile and Holley Shiftwell as they train in the secret facility named CHROME to become spies.

Players can choose among 25 car-characters while using high-tech gadgets during participation in missions. New cars, tracks and missions are unlocked by collecting emblems. The game also includes a multiplayer function for up to 4 players.

Cars 2 received relatively positive reviews with an average score of 75%, praised for its fun and fluid controls, but criticized for lacking an actual online play mode.

Here's another quick, easy platinum to add to your collection. The majority of the trophies can be earned as you play through the main game, then use freeplay to mop-up anything you missed. Challenge-specific trophies are easy, and the races themselves usually only require a bronze to win. Almost as simple as Cars: Race-O-Rama, but with more trophies, and shouldn't take you more than 12 hours to beat.

NOTE: You will need 2 controllers for a couple of trophies, though having two players is not necessary.

You'll want to begin by playthrough through all the CHROME missions. Most of these require only a bronze title, which is very easy to get. Only the Hunter missions need a gold title, which still isn't that much of a challenge. Simply use Lightning McQueen as your car, and keep building up and using your turbo.

In fact, you can use the following code - 721953 - for unlimited turbo, which won't disable the trophies. This makes clearing the CHROME missions a breeze.

Once you've completed all the missions, you'll be able to head into the Free Play option in the main menu. Here, you want to mop-up any of the challenge-specific trophies you've missed. Check out the Cars 2 trophy guide links under our Links tab for further detail.
