Grim Fandango: Remastered

Grim Fandango Remastered is a point-and-click adventure first released on the PC in 1998, and remastered with trophy support for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. Players collect and examine objects, use them to solve puzzles, and converse with other characters while selecting questions and responses in the dialogue. The game uses 3D graphics which are overlaid on pre-rendered static backgrounds.

The game is set in the Land of the Dead, where souls await before venturing onto the Land of Eternal Rest via travel packages. Manuel "Manny" Calavera is a travel agent at the Department of Death who soon learns that trouble is brewing at the agency.

The original Grim Fandango received critical acclaim with an average score of 94%, praised for its visual design and environment, interesting characters, puzzle-solving, and story.

Like any point-and-click adventure, the game is incredibly easy if you're following a walkthrough. All the trophies can be unlocked in a single playthrough. With a walkthrough to guide you, and a few strategically placed back-up saves just in case, the Platinum for the game is both quick and easy.

With a guide, the Platinum can be unlocked in under 8 hours if you are text-skipping, and around 13-15 hours if you're reading everything.

NOTE: The trophies on the PS4 share the same list with those on the PS Vita.

It's important to first mention that as soon as the game begins, head into Controls and select the "Tank" setting. Completing the game on this setting is required for The Right Way trophy.

If you wish to simply play and enjoy the game without any spoilers, then we suggest making a save at the start of each Year, which you can then reload to unlock any trophies you missed. You'll still unlock a good chunk of trophies through your playthrough.

However, if you're in a rush for that Platinum, then check over the Grim Fandango trophy guide links under our Links tab, and follow one of the walkthroughs in order to get every trophy on a single playthrough.

Even if you're following a walkthrough, it's still a good idea to make a save at the start of each Year, just in case you mess something up and need to back-track.

Finally, if you're really in a rush for that Platinum, you can skip through text. Doing so will probably knock-off around four or five hours of your completion time.

Enjoy!
