Square Heroes
Square Heroes is an action shooter with RPG elements and cartoon-style graphics. Players control a member of the Square Avengers and fight in a 2D side-scrolling arena called the Galactic Heroes Tournament. Players can level-up their characters, as well as unlock thirty unique weapons. The game includes up to eight different game modes, as well as a four-player local multiplayer, and six-player online multiplayer battles.
Square Heroes received lukewarm reviews with an average score of 62%, praised for its vibrant graphics and multiplayer, but criticized for a lack of replay value in the single player.
This is a high 1-star difficulty rating, as defeating the final Alien King can be a bit tough and requires some luck. There are two online trophies which simply require hosting and playing online games. Overall, the Platinum is not particularly difficult, nor does it require very much time.
Expect to unlock the Platinum in less than 10 hours, depending on your success with the Alien King, and finding online players.
NOTE: A second controller is necessary for at least two trophies, and useful for many others.
You’ll want to start off by simply playing through the single player. There are a number of miscellaneous trophies you can be unlocking along the way, so be sure to check out the Square Heroes trophy guide links under our Links tab for more details. Though keep in mind that none of the trophies are missable.
Play up until you reach the Alien King. You can chose to face him now, but the battle is quite tough. Rather, we recommend holding off until your character is fully upgraded.
There are two online-specific trophies: the Good Samaritan trophy for hosting an internet game, and the Host Hero trophy for hosting 20 internet games. You are not required to win these games, but simply play them. If you’re having trouble finding online players, check out the boosting forums under our Links tab.
From this point on, it’s time to mop-up all the remaining miscellaneous trophies, with the exception of King Slayer. Again, check out the Square Heroes trophy guide links for more details on what you need and their requirements.
By now your character should be fully upgraded, and it’s time to face the Alien King. If you’ve been following this roadmap, then defeating him should unlock the King Slayer trophy, as well as the Platinum.
