Survive! Mr. Cube
Survive! Mr. Cube is a twin-stick hack and slash with an above-ground point-of-view. Players are given a random character from a selection with different weapons and stats, and move through procedurally generated levels while battling spawned enemies, and collecting upgrades and items. Gold is earned to use as currency with merchants for items and upgrades.
Mr. Cube is a newlywed living a simple life. One day, he accepts and swallows a pill from a stranger in a pub, which transports him to a dark world filled with dangerous enemies.
Survive! Mr. Cube received lukewarm reviews with an average score of 60%, praised for its artistic style and enemy designs, but criticized for its repetitive gameplay, lack in challenge, and grammar mistakes in the text.
The game itself is relatively easy, and quite short, hence the 1-star difficulty. Nearly all the trophies will unlock naturally as you play, with the exception of one or two that you’ll need to put in a bit of effort. Particularly if you are following a guide, the Platinum can easily be unlocked in a single playthrough.
If completed in one playthrough, expect roughly 2 hours for the Platinum.
While you may want to take a look at the Survive Mr Cube trophy guide links under our Links tab to get an idea of what you need, nearly all the trophies will unlock naturally as you play through the game.
One trophy you may need to take not of is Treasure Hunter, which you unlock for finding five hidden gold chests. There is at least one gold chest in each stage, so you will need to go out of your way and do some exploring to find them.
For the Conqueror trophy, you need to kill three competing Cube characters. They resemble the player-character, and will randomly spawn later in the game. Just make sure to kill three of them when you see them, and you’ll get this trophy.
Lastly, there is the Don’t Give Up trophy for dying five times. Most likely, you will get this without trying. Yet if you happen to be a whiz at the game, you may wish to let some enemies kill you to get this trophy. Otherwise, that is all there is to the game. So long as you went out of your way to take care of those trophies mentioned above, you should have the Platinum by the end of the game. If not, be sure to check out the Survive Mr Cube trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you still need and their requirements.
