Lord of the Rings: Conquest

Based on the "Lord of the Rings" films/book, and with similar gameplay to the "Star Wars: Battlefront" series - of which was created by the same developer, Lord of the Rings: Conquest is an action third-person battle in which the player takes control of one of four classes of characters, fighting in wars both inspired by the story as well as alternate battles.

Ratings have been exceptionally mixed, ranging from 4 to 87 out of ten, with an average of 55%, criticized for its poor graphics, redundancy of gameplay and serious connection problems with the online servers.

The game was released in January of 2009. Only 14 months later, Electronic Arts decided to shut down the online servers. There are 48 trophies in total, and 12 are online. But without the EA servers, those 12 trophies cannot be acquired, which means the Platinum for this game is no longer obtainable.

If you just wish to add trophies to your overall count, the offline challenges are not particularly difficult. But you'll NEVER see 100% completion on your stats.

Most of the offline trophies are story-based, which require a set number of objectives to move onto the next level. Other trophies include scoring combos, headshot kills, and killing a set number of enemies without losing a life, many of which will naturally be acquired without much effort during the course of the game.

The 12 online trophies cannot be acquired since EA shutdown the servers in March of 2010.

JASF: Jane’s Advanced Strike Fighters

JASF: Jane's Advanced Strike Fighters is an arcade-style flight simulator and part of the Jane's Combat Simulations series which began on the PC in 1994. The game includes a 16-mission story, 30 licensed modern-day fighters, and online multiplayer, which the servers were closed in May 2014.

Set in the fictionalized country of Azbaristan, the Northern People's Republic have been waging a 10 year civil war against the Southern Azbaristan Democratic Front, who still manage to hold-on tot he oil-rich provinces. Squadron leader Razor aids in protecting the West while reunifying the country.

JASF: Jane's Advanced Strike Fighters received mixed to negative reviews, with an average score of 62%, praised for its online mode and variety of jets, but criticized for its bland presentation, repetition, and number of bugs.

When the game was released back in October 2011, the platinum was considered fairly average in terms of difficulty. However, in May 2014, the online servers to JASF were closed. The game holds 14 online trophies, which can no longer be unlocked.

Therefore, the Platinum for this game is Not Obtainable.

The online servers were shut down in May 2014, which means the 14 online trophies, as well as the platinum, is Not Obtainable. However, the game still includes 22 offline trophies, so if you're interested in unlocking those, then read on.

At some point, you'll need to clear the game on Hard mode in order to unlock the Hardcore trophy, which is available from the start. So, if you're in a rush, feel free to begin your playthrough on Hard mode. However, the game is not particularly long, and they don't call it Hard mode for nothing, so if you're having trouble, you can always play through on Easy first, then try again on Hard. Another advantage to this, is you'll have already unlocked some better planes which you can use in your Hard run.

There are a few story-related trophies, as well as miscellaneous ones you'll probably unlock during your playthrough. If there are any offline trophies you still need after completing a Hard playthrough, now's your chance to go back and mop these up. Check out the JASF Jane's Advanced Strike Fighters trophy guide links under our Links tab on specific details to what you're missing.

Unfortunately, with those 22 trophies collected, this is where we'll have to end things, now that the servers are closed.

Homefront Trophy Guide

Homefront

Homefront is a first-person shooter which takes place in the near-future of a military occupied Western United States. The game includes both a single-player campaign, and a large-scale online multiplayer, which was shut down in February 2013.

Taking place in the 2020s, after a number of global catastrophes and wars, the United States is now separated between the free Eastern States and the Korean People's Army controlled Western States. Robert Jacobs is a former U.S. Marine Corp combat helicopter pilot, who joins a resistance group intent on terrorizing and fighting back the KPA.

Homefront received generally positive reviews, with an average score of 74%, praised for its multiplayer mode, setting and presentation, while criticized for its short single-player campaign.

The online servers for Homefront had been powered by GameSpy, which unfortunately saw its fate sealed on February 21, 2013 when it was closed by IGN's new owner, Ziff Davis. All servers for games powered by GameSpy went offline, including Homefront.

As a result, the 10 online trophies can no longer be unlocked, marking the Platinum as Not Obtainable.

The 10 online trophies can no longer be unlocked, due to the closure of GameSpy's online service. However, there are still 37 offline trophies which can be earned. So if you're interested, read on.

It's up to you whether you try to collect all the trophies in one go (which we don't recommend) or split your efforts into two or three playthroughs. The single-player campaign is not long, and will only take 5-10 hours on Normal, depending on your skills. But at some point, you will need to complete the game on Guerilla difficulty, which is the hard mode, and is no cakewalk. Also, you will need to complete the game without dying. This is, as you can see, why we recommend at least two playthroughs.

In addition to automatically unlocking trophies for completing each chapter, there is a challenge within each chapter that must be completed. Also, there are collectibles in the form of News Pickups, of which you will need all 61 to unlock the Historian trophy. Check out the collectible guides and walkthroughs under our Links tab for this.

Heroes Over Europe Trophy Guide

Heroes Over Europe

Heroes Over Europe is a combat flight simulator, taking place during events of World War II, and a sequel to Heroes of the Pacific, released on the PlayStation 2 and Xbox.

The story follows an American, a Briton and a New Zealander pilot, through fourteen different missions during World War II. Over 40 planes can be unlocked during the course of playthrough, and online support for up to 16 players had been available, with Dogfight, Team Dogfight, Survivor, and Team Survivor modes. However, as of Spring 2013, Ubisoft closed down their online servers.

Heroes Over Europe received lukewarm reviews, with an average score of 62%, with very average graphics, poor dialogue, and overall bearing repetitive gameplay.

This was an extremely challenging platinum, and would have received a 4-star rating. However, in Spring of 2013, Ubisoft shut down their servers. Since then, the two multiplayer trophies - Super Ace and Ultimate Ace - cannot be collected.

Therefore, this Platinum is now Not Obtainable.

This Platinum is Not Obtainable, due to the servers being closed down. However, if you still wish to collect the other trophies, then here are some tips.

Start with your first playthrough on Pilot difficulty, which is the normal mode. Aside from introducing you to the game and controls, you will also earn all the story-related trophies, as well as a few others along the way. During this playthrough, make sure to complete all the bonus objectives to unlock all possible plane upgrades on this mode, which will work towards the Collector trophy. Also, it is a good idea to work on Big Game Hunter, which requires you to Ace Kill 12 different planes. Check out the trophy guides in our Links page for a list of these 12 planes, and make sure to keep track of the ones you Ace Kill, as the game doesn't do it for you.

Next, you can start up Ace difficulty, which is the hard mode. The good news is, you can replay the missions now, in any order you like. However, the difficulty factor is quite high, particularly towards completing the bonus objectives, which you must do in order to earn the Collector trophy. This is the reason why this game would have received a 4-star rating.

By now, you should have all the offline trophies. However, you can still earn the Specialist trophy playing solo via Lan. And if you happen to own two PlayStation 3s, you can still earn the Red Baron trophy. The Spectator, Fighter Ace, Support Chief, and The Oskar trophies are technically still available despite the servers being down, though would require you to have 5 PS3s connected together, and five copies of the game. Otherwise, your trophy hunting for this game ends here.

Hasbro Family Game Night Trophy Guide

Hasbro Family Night Trophy Guide. Difficulty: n/o  A revamp of the PS2 title, which includes six classic board games such as Boggle and Connect Four. Since the servers were closed in early 2012, the single online trophy – and therefore, the Platinum – is now Not Obtainable.

Hasbro Family Game Night

First released on the PlayStation 2 in November 2008, Hasbro Family Game Night was revamped with HD quality, included an extra game, and trophy support - with a platinum - for download on the PlayStation Network.

The game includes six classic board games: Battleship, Boggle, Connect Four, Sorry!, Sorry! Sliders, and Yahtzee. The North American version also contains Scrabble.

With few reviews, the average rating for Hasbro Family Game Night was 70%, many stating that it was a satisfactory video game inspired by board games, with Yatzee and Connect Four being the most entertaining, and Battleship a little on the ho-hum side.

As of early 2012, EA has ceased their servers for this game. There is only one online trophy - Get Connected - which requires you to play at least one game online. Now that the servers are gone, so too is the chance of obtaining this one, single trophy, making the Platinum Not Obtainable.

Otherwise, if you simply want to boost your trophy count, the offline trophies are extremely easy, and shouldn't take you more than 12 hours to complete. Hasbro Family Game Night would have received a 1-star rating, if not for the servers being taken down. Too bad.

Out of convenience, it's best to start one game and stick with it, until you've acquired all their trophies before moving onto the next. Once you've gone through them all, just mop up the few you may still need, such as Changing Rooms. The three hours of game play for the Professional Player trophies is not in one sitting, but a total.

As of early 2012, EA tok down their servers for this game, which means the Get Connected trophy is Not Obtainable. We've kept a forum under our Links tab, which had been previously used for finding a boosting buddy, which you may still use to vent your frustrations at not getting that Platinum, if you wish.
