Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny

Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny, also known as Rune Factory Oceans in Europe and Japan, is a J-RPG, in which players control both a male and female character, Aden and Sonja, who ride a great beast across the seas. Players can farm, fish, craft items, form relationships, and sink ships and islands. The fighting is done in a real-time battle system.

Aden and his best friend Sonja have mysteriously been transported to an alternate version of their home, where they are somehow sharing the same body. While venturing through this strange parallel world, making friends and battling enemies, Aden and Sonja must find a way home and return Sonja to her rightful body.

Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny received generally favorable reviews in Japan, praised for its presentation and interesting setting and story. Outside Japan, however, it received mixed to lukewarm reviews, with an average score of 59%, criticized for its lack of story and monotonous gameplay.

As you can expect from a J-RPG, this game isn't particularly difficult, but extremely time consuming. Except for one simply trophy, the game allows a free-roam upon completion of the story, so that none of the other trophies are missable. Yet defeating 500 monsters, as well as catching 2000 fish can be a grind, and catching a cold 100 times can be tricky. But for the most part, every trophy is doable - just requires a lot of time.

Expect well over 100 hours for this Platinum.

The only potentially missable trophy to watch out for, is called Trophy 101, which relates to the character Maerwen. At some point after your relationship with her has reached level 2, she will ask if you know about trophies. Make sure to select "No," so that she may proceed to explain them, thereby unlocking the Trophy 101 trophy.

With that in mind, your first step is to get through the story. During which, you'll want to fight every monster you come across to work towards the That Which Monsters Flee trophy, which requires defeating 5000 monsters. You'll also want to catch fish, craft items, catch a cold whenever you can, as well as work on building your relationships during the story's progress. Basically, we recommend you take your time with the story. The more you do now, the less you'll need to mop-up afterwards.

Once you've finished the game and unlocked a good chunk of trophies, you're now able to freely roam and mop-up anything you've missed. Most likely, this will be where the majority of your time is spent.

Rogue Warrior Trophy Guide

Rogue Warrior Trophy Guide. Difficulty: ***  A first-person shooter with tactical elements, and loosely based Richard Marcinko’s autobiography of the same name. A short and doable game, though the online trophies are challenging to unlock without boosting.

Rogue Warrior

Loosely based on Richard Marcinko's autobiography of the same name, Rogue Warrior is a first-person shooter with tactical elements. Visiting such locations as Russia and North Korea, you play the Navy SEAL Marcinko, on a mission to disrupt the North's missile launchers while fighting off deadly terrorists. The game's story itself is fictional, though based on the real Navy SEAL who was responsible for founding the deadly SEAL Team Six and Red Cell.

The game received received poor reviews - an average score of 20% - and criticized for its generic gameplay and bugs.

This rating is without boosting, and taking the game's age under consideration. Online trophies are involved, and since there are so few people playing, they can be difficult to collect. However, with a friend or two, boosting would bring this rating down to a simple, 1-star rating.

The game itself is rather short, though requires three playthroughs for each level. The offline trophies are quire simple, and can be collected during your first playthrough.

Many of the offline trophies are fairly predictable for a first-person shooter - making so many kills with different types of weapons. Most of these, if not all, are attainable during your first playthrough. Follow the guides under our Links tab for extra assistance.

Due to the unpopularity of this game, we couldn't find any walkthroughs. Though the game is so linear, you probably wouldn't need them, anyway. You WILL have to play this game three times, to gain The Geek, Shark Man Of The Delta, and Demo Dick trophies, as they are not stackable - but fear not, for a single playthrough shouldn't take more than two or three hours. Honest.

The online trophies are not particularly difficult, but due to the age of the game (and its low rating scores, making it very unpopular) you may have a difficult time finding people to play with - hence the 3-star rating. If you have a friend or two with the game, or manage to find someone on the internet willing to help boost, you will gain these online trophies in 10 to 20 hours.

Test Drive Unlimited 2 Trophy Guide

Test Drive Unlimited 2 Trophy Guide. Difficulty: ***  An open-world racing game and the tenth installment in the Test Drive series. The game demands good racing skills and plenty of time, while the online trophies are challenging to unlock without boosting.

Test Drive Unlimited 2

Test Drive Unlimited 2 is an open-world racing game, and the tenth installment in the Test Drive series which began on the PC in 1987, and a sequel to the 2006 Test Drive Unlimited. The game takes place on Ibiza, an island off the coast of Spain, and on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. Players select vehicles from four categories: asphalt cars, SUVs, classic cars, and motorcycles. The unnamed player-character competes in a series of tournaments, with the hope of ultimately winning the Solar Crown. The game also includes both co-op and competitive online multiplayer.

Test Drive Unlimited 2 received lukewarm reviews, with an average score of 70%, praised for its online play, open-world free roam, and overall fun, though criticized by some for its story, vehicle handling, and bugs.

This is a high 3-star rating, as it's extremely difficult to unlock many of the online trophies legitimately. However, if you able to organize some boosting partners, the difficulty rating could be brought down to a low 3-star, though will still require a fair bit of time and skill. Some of the offline trophies can be quite challenging, such as claiming the licenses. Also, reaching level 60 will take up a fair bit of time.

Expect roughly 130-150 hours to reach the Platinum with boosting, and far longer if you're attempting the online trophies legitimately.

The roadmap for Test Drive Unlimited 2 can essentially be broken into four stages: completing Ibiza, completing Oahu, completing the online trophies, and mop-up.

We recommend starting in Ibiza and unlocking all access to everything for completing the championships. This means start by driving down every road, completing all the missions, finding all the wrecks, and all 20 viewpoints. Then, work on earning all the licenses. And finally, complete all the events, which means championships, duels, and finally the cup.

Once Ibiza is done, you can head over to Oahu, where we'll rinse and repeat the process. Unlock all access to everything, get your licenses, and complete all the events.

With that done, you can head into online and unlock the 14 online trophies. These aren't particularly difficult if boosted, though can be a real pain if you're attempting to do this legitimately. Check out the boosting forums under our Links tab if you're shy of online players.

With all the online trophies unlocked, you can return to offline and mop-up any trophies you may still be missing. Most likely, this will include the Level 60 trophy.

Good luck!

F1 2010 Trophy Guide

F1 2010 Trophy Guide. Difficulty: ****  A simulation racing game based on the 2010 season of the Formula One World Championship. The game possesses a steep learning curve, while the Platinum requires a lot of time, and challenging online trophies if not boosted.

F1 2010

F1 2010 is a simulation racing game based on the 2010 season of the Formula One world championship, and a sequel to F1 2009 which was not released for the PlayStation 3. Players can upgrade their vehicles, engage in offline career mode, time trials, or go head-to-head online. There are 19 tracks available, each featuring different 'weather conditions' that affect the control of the car.

The game received fairly positive reviews, with an average score of 83% for its attention to detail and weather system, and won the Best Sports Game category at the BAFTA Video Game Awards.

This game will take up a lot of your time, simply because of its difficulty factor. The controls are designed to make this game more of a simulation of F1 races rather than an arcade, and will take much trial and error until you finally get the hang of it. Even then, attempting to play on Elite mode or with ABS off will feel like grinding as you consistently lose over and over.

The game also includes 5 online trophies, one of which requires you to win 50 online battles. However, even with a boosting partner, this game's 4-star rating doesn't change much. You probably stand a better chance at winning online with other people than you do against the NPCs offline.

Overall, expect to spend over a hundred hours on this game. Perhaps two-hundred if you're new to simulated racing games.

While there's no real road-map required for this game, most of the trophies will be earned while playing through Career Mode. Make sure you select 7 seasons, and set the AI's speed to its lowest setting. Aim to get as many Pole Positions as you can along the way, until you've unlocked the Schuperb trophy. Also, at a certain point in your first season, you'll receive an offer for a new contract; make sure you win the next race before accepting it, for the Attracting Attention trophy. Otherwise, for the most part, many of the trophies will come to you as you progress through the seasons. But check out the F1 2010 trophy guide links under our Links tab for further details.

There is also the I Ain't Afraid Of No Ghost trophy, which is specifically related to the Time Trial. Both Time Trial and Grand Prix are a nice way to mop-up any trophies you may have missed during your seven seasons through Career Mode.

Then, there are the five online trophies to worry about. Hopefully after getting through the offline trophies, your skills should be good enough to win a number of races in multiplayer. But if you're still having trouble, we've included some forums under our Links tab where you can find a boosting partner.

Resonance of Fate Trophy Guide

Resonance of Fate Trophy Guide. Difficulty: ***  A J-RPG in a steampunk setting which combines real-time and turn-based controls in its combat system. The game possesses a steep learning curve, while the Platinum requires a lot of time.

Resonance of Fate

Resonance of Fate is a J-RPG in a steampunk setting, which utilizes the "tri-Attack Battle system," a combination of real-time and turn-based controls in a fast-paced, strategic combat system between three playable characters and their different types of weapons. The game takes place on a future Earth, where humanity is an endangered species forced to live in a city near an air purification module known as the Zenith, due to the hazardous environmental changes outside.

Vashyron, Zephyr, and Leanne are hunters who embark on odd jobs around the city. But things get complicated when they encounter situations where people's fates are strangely deviating from the predetermined path set by the Zenith system.

Resonance of Fate received mainly positive reviews with an average score of 78%, praised for its innovative combat battle system, customizable weapons, and cinematography, though criticized by some for its lack of epic feel to the story.

Resonance of Fate is a J-RPG with a complex battle system. The 3-star difficulty is mainly due to the minimum of two playthroughs - and therefore the many hours - required for the platinum, as well as the game's sharp learning curve. Be prepared to die a lot in the beginning until you've gained a handle on the necessary battle strategies.

Overall, expect roughly 80-100 hours on this one for the Platinum.

Due to the Lap Two Complete trophy, the game will require two full playthroughs. We recommend completing just about everything during your first playthrough - unlocking all the missable trophies - so that your second playthrough can be a simply, 6-7 hour speed-run.

During your first playthrough, you'll want to complete all 90 missions throughout the game, which includes both the main story line missions as well as the side missions per chapter, which range between 2-6. Once that particular chapter is complete, you won't be able to go back and do the side missions, so be sure to complete them before moving on. Completing all 90 missions will unlock The Legendary Hunter trophy.

While many of the other trophies are either story-based or combat-based and therefore will naturally unlock during your progress, you'll want to pay special attention to the following: Basel's Liberator and King Of Neverland, Stardust Hunter, Challenge Conqueror, and Disrespect Your Elders. These are missable, so check out their requirements in the Resonance of Fate trophy guide links under our Links tab and strategise wisely.

Once your first playthrough is complete and you've hopefully unlocked nearly all the trophies, it's time to start your second. Select New Game+ which, if you're playing on the same difficulty level (recommended if you're in a rush for the Platinum) then you'll retain all your equipment and experience. You'll unlock the A New Beginning trophy for starting the new game, then the Lap Two Complete trophy for completing it.

If you happen to still be missing some trophies at this point, then now's the time to mop-up. Otherwise, congratulations!
