Resident Evil: Revelations PS4

Resident Evil: Revelations is a third-person survival horror and part of the Resident Evil series, first released on the Nintendo 3DS in 2012, before being ported in HD for the PS3, Wii U, and Xbox 360 in 2013, then again for the PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch in 2017. The gameplay returns to the series’ original style which places an emphasis on survival, evasion, and exploration rather than combat, with the player receiving a limited amount of ammunition, and needing to solve puzzles. The game also includes Raid Mode, a more action-oriented mode in which players battle through different scenarios in either solo or co-op play.

Taking place between the events of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5, the recently established Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance (BSAA) sends out agents Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield on a mission. After locating one another, they must stop the bioterrorist organization Veltro from launching an attack that will infect one-fifth of the Earth’s oceans with the deadly T-Abyss virus.

The original Resident Evil: Revelations on the Nintendo 3DS received positive reviews with an average score of 82%, praised for its return to the roots of the series, impressive graphics, environments, and sound, through criticized by some for some characterization and the AI-controlled companions.

If you have played and unlocked the Platinum on previous Resident Evil titles, then you should have a good idea of the amount of skill and time required for Revelations. You’ll need at least one playthrough on Infernal difficulty, and most likely a second playthrough on Normal in order to unlock more trophies, as well as complete all 20 stages of Raid Mode for all three difficulty levels. Also, there are quite a few missable trophies to watch out for.

Expect around 50-60 hours for the Platinum, depending on your luck with the missable trophies, skills, and whether or not you have decent help with the Raid Mode.

NOTE: The trophies on the PS4 have a separate, and slightly different, list from those on the PS3.

While it is technically possible to achieve all campaign related trophies in one playthrough, this would mean having to do it all in Infernal mode. However, unless you are a gaming master, or have played the game before, it is not recommended since many trophies will be challenging to acquire. Also, playing Infernal on a New Game+ will carry over all your weapons, ammunition, and custom parts, making the second playthrough a little easier.

We recommend first playing through on Normal mode and collecting as many, if not all, the campaign trophies as possible. This means playing through without dying for the Surviving Deep Darkness trophy. If you die, do NOT select continue, and instead return to the Main Menu. From here, you can select to continue from an auto-save point.

There are also a number of missable trophies to unlock during this playthrough, as well. These include finding all 30 hand prints and scanning them for the First Victim, Traces Of Tragedy, and Last Victim trophies, scanning all enemy types for the Research Complete trophy, and several kill-related trophies. Be sure to check out the Resident Evil Revelations trophy guide links under our Links tab to get familiar with these trophies. Also, you may want to follow one of the Hand Print Locations guides under our Links tab, as well.

Next, start up a New Game+ on Infernal mode. All your weapons, ammunition, and custom parts will carry over which should make your playthrough a little easier. Your main goal here is to simply play through to the end, in order to unlock The Vestibule Of Hell trophy. Also, if you happened to miss any of the missable trophies in your previous playthrough, now would be the time to get them.

Lastly, it’s time for Raid Mode. This is where the bulk of your time will be spent, as you’ll need to complete all 20 stages across three difficulties labeled Chasm, Trench, and Abyss with an S rank, as well as the bonus stages Ghost Ship and Ghost Ship: Chaos. It is highly recommended you play these in co-op, which will make things easier as well as cut down on the amount of time required. If you are having trouble finding a partner, check out the boosting forums under our Links tab.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Trophy Guide

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Trophy Guide. Difficulty: *** A third-person action adventure with RPG elements, and a DLC add-on to Monster Hunter: World. The Platinum has the same level of challenge and time required as the base game World.

Game Name Difficulty Trophies Developer Country Bronze Silver Gold Online DLC
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne *** 50 Capcom Japan 36 11 2 1 0

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is a DLC add-on and sequel to Monster Hunter World, though is large enough to have its own trophy list and Platinum. Players will explore new areas such as the freezing cold Hoarfrost Reach, hunt new monsters as well as variants of older monsters, and build new armor and weapons. Players are also introduced to the Clutch Claw, a new tool which allows players to attach themselves to monsters and perform more damage, as well as the Raider Rides, which are smaller creatures that can be ridden.

A mysterious song heard through the air causes a flock of Legiana to migrate across the sea. After tracking the migrating monsters, the Hunter discovers a new polar subcontinent filled with ice, snow, and monsters never seen before. After setting up a new base of operations, the Hunter sets off to discover the source of the song, as well as the strange seismic activity.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne received positive reviews with an average score of 90%, praised for the large scale of the expansion and its content, as well as its beautiful settings and graphics, and overall fun.

The trophies for Iceborne are similar to those in World, which means the difficulty, time required, and method to getting the Platinum, is basically the same. You’ll be spending the majority of your time completing the story, hunting for crowns, and getting your Master Rank level up to 200. One nice thing about this DLC is that, if you haven’t finished unlocking the trophies on World, doing so will now be easier with Iceborne since you’ll have much stronger armor and weapons.

Like World, expect anywhere between 300-400 hours for the Platinum on Iceborne.

Like in the previous game, your first step is to complete the main story of the game.

As you go through the missions, you’ll soon realize that playing Iceborne feels like starting over, as your armor and weapons from World are not strong enough. This is because everything has been upgraded from High Rank to Master Rank. As a result, it is not a bad idea to farm the first monster you face, the Beotodus, and use it to craft your first full set of MR armor and weapons.

Also, as you progress through the story, you will receive a tutorial-like quest that introduces you to the Clutch Claw, which can be used to send monsters crashing into a wall. This is an invaluable move, for not only does this trick do a lot of damage to the monster and knocks it down, but will always break off a piece of material to be collected. We highly recommend becoming a master of the Clutch Claw. If the tutorial quest isn’t good enough, check out the video under our Links tab.

Once the story is complete, it’s time to explore the Guiding Lands, which is an area that incorporates all the bio-domes from World into one area. You’ll ultimately want to reach Master Rank 100 in order to hunt the Ruiner Nergigante and thereby unlocking your last story-related trophy, while also upgrading the areas in the Guiding Lands.

Once you’ve defeated the Ruiner Nergigante and unlocked the Fate’s Conclusion trophy, it’s time to start mopping-up everything that’s left. This will include reaching Master Rank 200 for the Master Of Masters trophy, maximizing research levels for the Monster Master trophy, and obtaining both miniature and gold crowns for nearly all the monsters for both the True Miniature Crown Collector and True Large Crown Collector trophies.

There are also a number of miscellaneous trophies you may still be missing at this point. Be sure to check out the Iceborne trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you need and their requirements.

Happy hunting!

Super Stardust Ultra Trophy Guide

Super Stardust Ultra

Super Stardust Ultra is a twin-stick shoot ‘em up and a revamp of the original Super Stardust HD released on the PlayStation 3 in 2007. Players control a space fighter and can move in any direction over a spherical world, while firing at numerous enemies. Players can switch between upgradable weapons, as well as use such special abilities as a limited arsenal of bombs and boosts which grant invincibility for a short time. The PS4 Ultra version also includes a new Interactive Streaming mode, in which players can stream their game online while viewers can either assist or hinder the player. A downloadable content package called Invasion Zone was released for the PlayStation VR which puts the player in the cockpit.

Super Stardust Ultra received lukewarm reviews with an average score of 74%, praised for its added Interactive Streaming aspect, overall fun and challenge, though criticized for lacking much difference from the original PS3 version.

The game is quite short and anyone with experience with the original Stardust on the PS3 should be able to obtain the Platinum fairly quickly. However, there are a few trophies that are quite challenging – particularly the Shock And Awe trophy which requires destroying 10 nukes on Endless mode. Despite the short amount of time required for the Platinum, expect a lot of practice, patience, and skills for this one.

The Platinum can technically be unlocked in less than 10 hours, though this is heavily skill dependent. NOTE: You will need either a second controller or a PS Vita for at least one trophy.

ALSO NOTE: The Invasion Zone DLC, which includes 7 trophies, requires the PlayStation VR headset.

You will eventually need to play through Arcade mode on Normal difficulty in order to unlock the split-screen co-op for the Ogoun planet, which is required for the Brothers In Arms trophy. However, if you are new to the Super Stardust games, we highly recommend starting your Arcade mode on Easy difficulty to get a feel for the game and avoid a lot of frustration.

Once you’ve eventually completed Arcade mode on Normal difficulty, essentially you just need to mop-up all the other remaining trophies in any order you wish. Be sure to check out the Super Stardust Ultra trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you need and their requirements.

The Brothers In Arms trophy requires you to maintain a Co-op weapon boost for three minutes in split-screen. This will require either a second controller, or the PlayStation Vita. The best strategy is to avoid shooting anything, and instead dodge the meteors while keeping both players close to each other to maintain the weapon boost. This is tricky but doable without a second player.

Finally, we recommend saving the Shock And Awe trophy for last, as this is by far the most difficult trophy where you will need to destroy 10 nukes while surviving on Endless mode.

Good luck!

Batman: The Enemy Within

Batman: The Enemy Within, is a third-person point-and-click graphic adventure based on the Batman character licensed by DC Entertainment, though not connected with any particular work or story. Taking place several months following the events of Batman: The Telltale Series, Bruce Wayne dresses up as the caped crusader in order to track down the Riddler, who has been set loose on Gotham City. During his investigation, he runs into The Agency, a mysterious government organization with its own agenda.

Batman: The Enemy Within received positive reviews with an overall average score of 77%, praised for its story, action sequences, portrayal of the Joker, and improvement over its predecessor.

Like its predecessor, as well as many other Telltale games, all the trophies in Batman: The Enemy Within are story related. This means, regardless which decisions you make in the game, you will have the platinum after completing all five Episodes.

Expect roughly 9-10 hours of gameplay to get through all the Episodes and unlock the platinum.

Styx Master of Shadows Trophy Guide

Styx Master of Shadows Trophy Guide. Difficulty: **  A stealth game and prequel to the 2012 Of Orcs and Men. The Platinum is not particularly difficult but requires two playthroughs and a lot of collectibles to find.

Game Name Difficulty Trophies Developer Country Bronze Silver Gold Online DLC
Styx: Master of Shadows ** 34 Cyanide France 20 8 5 0 0

Styx: Master of Shadows

Styx: Master of Shadows is a stealth game and prequel to the 2012 Of Orcs and Men. Players keep a low profile by hiding in the shadows in order to survive and progress to the next level. The titular character Styx possesses a number of abilities such as turning invisible, using amber-vision to detect hidden enemies, and cloning himself. Experience gained allows to unlock new skills and special moves.

Taking place before the events of Of Orcs and Men, Styx finds himself infiltrating a flying fortress called the Tower of Akenash, intent on rescuing a friend being held prisoner. However, Styx is apparently suffering from confusion, and does not yet understand why he is doing this.

Styx: Master of Shadows received mixed to positive reviews with an average score of 70%, praised for its stealth tactics, required strategizing, and overall fun, though criticized for its combat tactics and technical issues such as long loading time.

This is a high 2-star difficulty, due to the time required. You will need to do two playthroughs, one in which you employ stealth tactics and therefore avoid killing anyone, and another to unlock the kill-related trophies. There are also quite a few collectibles to find. Having said that, the game is not particularly difficult, especially for players used to stealth games such as Thief or Deus Ex, and can be played on its easiest difficulty setting without affecting any trophies.

Expect around 35-40 hours for the Platinum, depending on your stealth skills.

If you want to make things easier, you can select the easiest mode to play, as there are no difficulty-related trophies.

Start your first playthrough by avoiding setting off any alerts for the Shadow insignia, while also focusing on the kill-related trophies, and collecting all the tokens and relics, as well as completing all the secondary objectives. Be sure to follow one of the walkthroughs and collectibles guides under our Links tab for more details. There are eight missions in total, divided into sub-zones.

During that first playthrough, you will also unlock all the mission completed trophies, and a number of others naturally.

For your second playthrough, you’ll be using the mission select to replay each mission. This time, you’ll want to focus on a full-on stealth gameplay in order to avoid killing anyone, while also completing each mission within the time limit.

With that done, it’s simply a matter of mopping up anything you’re still missing, which may include unlocking all the skills for the Great Power trophy, or any other missables. Be sure to check out the Styx Master of Shadows trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you’re still missing and their requirements.
