PlayStation Plus Free Games March 2023

Happy Valentine’s Day! And to celebrate the romance in the air, Sony is releasing three very romantic games for their next batch of freebies. And by very romantic, we mean not at all. But still worth checking out! And so, here is the next line-up of PlayStation Plus free games March 2023 available for download on Tuesday, March 7.

First, for both the PS4 and PS5, there’s Battlefield 2042, last year’s title in the Battlefield series. As the twelfth main installment, Battlefield 2042 differs from previous titles in that the game is solely multiplayer. Use an arsenal of futuristic weapons as you take down enemies in first-person shooting combat with three main gameplay modes.

Also, for the PS4, there’s Minecraft Dungeons. This spin-off from the Minecraft game was released in 2020. The game is a dungeon crawler with point-and-click hack and slash action which can be played solo or with a friend.

Lastly, for the PS4, there’s Code Vein, the 2019 action-RPG developed by Bandai Namco Studios. Inspired by such titles as Dark Souls and God Eater 3, the game is set in a post-apocalyptic dystopian open-world, where human corpses are brought back to life to fight emerging monsters.

All three titles in the PlayStation Plus free games March 2023 line-up have Platinum trophies to unlock.

Among them, Minecraft Dungeons is by far the easiest Platinum. Not a particularly difficult game, the Platinum will take between 15-20 hours depending on whether you play co-op or take your time in solo.

Code Vein is also not a particularly difficult Platinum. However, due to obtaining the required multiple endings, as well as a there being a trophy which requires grinding, expect around 75 hours of gameplay for this one.

Lastly, as you might expect from a multiplayer first-person shooter, the Platinum trophy for Battlefield 2042 is not an easy one to acquire, and will take well over 100 hours of gameplay. Players have also reported that some modes are void of players, which makes unlocking trophies all the more difficult.

Tekken 7

Tekken 7 is a fighting game and the ninth installment in the Tekken series. The game adds Rage Art, which allows the execution of critical attacks when the health bar is low, and Power Crush which lets of continuing attacks even when being hit by the opponent.

Following the events of Tekken 6, a reporter is writing an expose on the Mishima Zaibatsu and G Corporation after his family is killed in the crossfire of the ongoing war. In Jin's absence, Heihachi Mishima attempts to take the advantage by regaining control of the Zaibatsu.

Tekken 7 received positive reviews with an average score of 82%, praised for its improved graphics, multiplayer, and overall fun gameplay, though criticized for lacking in new material.

Tekken 7 has arguably the easiest Platinum trophies in the series. With the exception of some grinding, the offline trophies only require a playthrough on the story and some mopping-up. There are 3 online trophies, two of which only require winning a single match on a Private and Public game which, after having played through the offline game, shouldn't be difficult for anyone new to the series. And of course, boosting is always a possibility.

The Platinum can be earned in roughly 10 hours, depending on your fighting skills and experience with the Tekken series.

Like most fighting games, Tekken 7 doesn't require much of a roadmap. However, if you're in need of some direction, you can start with the Main Story. There are 14 Chapters in total, plus the Epilogue to complete. This will unlock 5 of the story-related trophies. After completing the Main Story, you will have unlocked Character Episodes. Completing 10 of these will unlock both the I Demand To Know The Truth and Lightning Of Fate trophies. Finally, complete the Special Chapter unlocked after finishing the Main Story, and you will unlock the Master Of Iron Fist trophy.

After that, you can work through the Treasure Battles. Your ultimate goal here is to move up to the rank of Warrior (12th Dan) for the Hot-Blooded Fighter trophy. Along the way, you should also naturally unlock the Excellent trophy for obtaining a total of 10,000,000G, and the I've Finally Found You for obtaining 50 treasure boxes. Also, be sure to play the special matches that appear randomly, as you'll need to win three for the Wow I'm Pretty Strong trophy.

With that done, it's simply a matter of mopping-up the remaining trophies, many of which can easily be done in Practice mode. Be sure to check out the Tekken 7 trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you're missing and their requirements.

At any time, you can hop into Online to unlock the four online trophies. These include winning 1 ranked match for the Yeah I Did It trophy, winning 1 player match for the Not Bad trophy, winning 1 match in tournament for the Okay I'm Ready trophy, and play 10 online games for the Come And Get Some, I Dare You trophy. If you happen to be having trouble with these, check out the boosting forums under our Links tab.
