Death Stranding 2: On the Beach

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, is an action-adventure game with some stealth elements, and a sequel to Death Stranding first released on the PS4 in 2019. Players travel across two open-world maps, making deliveries to various facilities, while battling bandit-like porters, ghost-like creates known as BTs, as well as environmental elements.

Taking place several years following the events of the first game, porter Sam Porter Bridges is now retired and lives alone with his adopted daughter Lou. However, his peaceful life is interrupted when Fragile proposes that he assist in extending the chiral network to Mexico – an event which will eventually lead Sam down a dark road.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach received positive reviews with an average score of 90%, praised for its story, characters, gorgeous graphics, and its improved gameplay over its predecessor.

The game can be played on Casual setting, which is not the easiest, but still makes for a less-than challenging game. The main reason for the 3-star rating is the time required. Similar to its predecessor, you will need to maximize the connection level with all 42 facilities, which means spending many hours post-game making delivery after delivery.

Expect anywhere between 80-120 hours of gameplay, depending on your style.

Similar to its predecessor, the game allows you to continue playing the open-world following the story, which means there are no missable trophies. Therefore, it is up to you if you wish to first play through the story, then mop-up trophies afterwards, or go after them as you play through the story. There are, however, some trophies which will not become available until after the story has been completed.

Also, it should be noted that some facilities provide useful rewards after reaching a full 5-star rating with them, which can range from better weapons to improved devises. These rewards are not necessary for getting through the story, though will make your experience a little easier.

Lastly, the Seasoned Porter trophy requires you to complete 10 basic deliveries, 10 recoveries, and 10 either elimination or destruction orders with an S rank, on either Casual difficulty or above. This means, it is recommended that you start your game on at least Casual difficulty, which is the second-easiest difficulty mode.

The open-world aspect of the game takes place in two areas: Mexico and Australia. There are 6 facilities to connect and raise their connection level to the full five-stars, and 36 in Australia. Deliveries do not cross over between these two areas, so at some point you will need to return to Mexico in order to maximize the facilities.

For the most part, you can simply play through the story, unlocking story-related trophies along the way, while also unlocking a few random ones as well. Rushing through the story is fine, however if you take some time out now and then to improve facility connection levels, you will also gain more materials which you can use to build roads and monorail tracks – which will make your overall travels much quicker and easier.

The Master Builder trophy requires you to build every type of structure. However, there is no way to keep track of which structures you build. Therefore, you can either keep track yourself by writing it down, or simply build all 18 structures later in the game once you have access to plenty of materials.

There are several random trophies which are connected to sub-orders at difference facilities. These sub-orders will become available as you increase the connection level with those particular facilities.

The most time-consuming trophy, and may be the last trophy to unlock before getting the platinum, is the Connecting Hearts And Minds gold trophy, for acquiring maximum connection level with all 42 facilities, both in Mexico and Australia. To speed up this process, be sure to check which orders you can collect and drop off on route to various facilities. In other words, avoid doing one delivery at a time, as this can be quite time-consuming.

Keep on keeping on!

Death Stranding

Death Stranding is an action game designed by Kojima Productions, and is the first game by Hideo Kojima, creator of the Metal Gear Solid series, since leaving Konami in 2015. Set in an open-world post-apocalyptic United States in which creatures roam the Earth, players control a courier who must deliver supplies to isolated colonies and reconnect their communications network.

Freelance courier Sam Porter Bridges, played by actor Normal Reedus, sets off on a quest to help humanity which is close to extinction by journeying across the continent and reconnect colonies while avoiding the spectral creatures that roam the world.

Death Stranding received positive reviews with an average score of 82%, and won several Game Awards, praised for its music, voice acting, graphics, and creative concept, while criticized by some for its repetitiveness and added details which some critics found more frustrating than fun.

The Platinum for Death Stranding is not particularly difficult, but very time consuming with a lot of grinding, hence the 3-star difficulty. There are no missable trophies to worry about, as the game allows for a post-game play in which all outstanding trophies can be mopped-up. There are technically six online trophies, though these merely require online connectivity as you play single-player. Only the Growth Of A Legend trophy requires 20 deliveries to be made on Hard difficulty, though this can be done anytime in post-game, which means the story can be played on the easiest setting.

Expect anywhere around 100 hours for the Platinum depending on how you play the game, whether you are exploring and taking your time, or rushing through.

There are no missable trophies to worry about, so you can begin by simply playing through the story and enjoying it. You can switch the difficulty mode at anytime. There is only one trophy, Growth Of A Legend, which requires you to make 20 deliveries on Premium difficulty, though this can be easily be done in post-game. As a result, feel free to play the game on its easiest difficulty mode.

Keep in mind that there are six trophies which require you to be connected online as you play through the game. Also, avoid using lethal weapons on any NPCs or MULEs, as a “voidout” will occur if the body is left to decompose over three days.

By the time you complete the story, you will have unlocked a massive chunk of the trophies.

After the credits, you will enter a post-game mode. Here is where you will want to change the difficulty mode to Hard in order to get S ranking on 20 Premium Deliveries for the Growth Of A Legend trophy. Work on getting all Facilities to 5 Stars, reach at least Grade 60 in all delivery evaluation categories, collect all Memory Chips, fabricate all available items, as well as build and fully upgrade all structures. If you feel this will take a lot of time, that is because it will. Expect to put in more hours in the post-game play than in completing the story.

Once those objectives are complete, simply mop up any miscellaneous trophies you may still have outstanding. Be sure to check out the Death Stranding trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what trophies you are still missing and their requirements.

Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain Trophy Guide PS4

Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain Trophy Guide. Difficulty: ***  A third-person action adventure with stealth elements, and the ninth title in the Metal Gear Solid series. While the difficulty is arguably average, the Platinum demands over 150 hours of gameplay.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is a third-person action-adventure with stealth elements, is the ninth installment in the Metal Gear Solid series, and takes place after the stand-alone prologue, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. The game takes place in an open-world environment, sneaking around guards, moving across the terrain either on foot, horseback, or by vehicles, and possesses a base-building system that allows for developing weapons and items.

Nine years following the events of Ground Zeroes, Big Boss has awakened from his coma and is now leading the Diamond Dogs, a new mercenary group. Meanwhile, Venom Snake heads to war-torn Afghanistan to seek those responsible for the destruction of MSF, while uncovering a plan by the Patriots to develop a new Metal Gear system.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain received high praise with an average score of 95%, praised for its visuals, creativity in gameplay, storyline, and overall excitement.

The game is fairly average in terms of difficulty. However, the time required brings this difficulty rating up to a 3-star. Several missions will need to be replayed several times in order to acquire S ranks in each. Also, there's quite a lot to keep you busy, including completing all the Side Ops and finding every collectible. There are 3 online trophies, however they can be played in solo and merely require an internet connection. While arguably one of the easier games in the Metal Gear Solid series, The Phantom Pain will still monopolize much of your time in order to unlock that Platinum.

Expect well over 150 hours on this one.

NOTE: The Trophies on the PS4 have a separate list from those on the PS3.

There are no missable trophies, so we recommend simply playing through the game and enjoying the story.

Once you've enjoyed your run, it's time to get busy. The next step is to replay missions and obtain S ranks. Doing so will unlock the Executed trophy for completing all mission tasks, and the Elite trophy for getting S rank, as well as a few others along the way. This may sound easier said than done, so check out some of the guides under our Links tab if you're having trouble. Expect to replay some of these missions two to four times.

After all that, it's time to mop-up what's left. This includes completing all the Side Ops, as well as developing weapons and items for the Locked And Loaded trophy, and extracting all wild animal species for the Conservation trophy. Check out the Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you're still missing and their requirements.

Good luck!

Metal Gear Solid 4 Trophy Guide

Metal Gear Solid 4 Trophy Guide. Difficulty: ****  The stealth series continues in this chronological sequel to Metal Gear Solid 2. The game was released in 2008, but added with trophy support in 2012. Requires a minimum of 8 playthroughs for the Platinum trophy.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, is the sixth MGS title directed by Hideo Kojima, and the chronological sequel to Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of the Liberty, taking place five years after. Guns of the Patriots was released world-wide in June of 2008, but was updated with a trophy patch in August 2012.

Set in 2014, Snake is suffering from Werner's Syndrome, resulting in accelerated aging and allowing only a year left to live. For his "final mission," he accepts a job from Colonel Roy Campbell, now working for the UN, to infiltrate Liquid's army camp in the Middle East to assassinate him.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots received high praise by nearly all online gaming critics, with an average score of 96% for its innovative gameplay, fantastic graphics and presentation, and clever story.

If you thought the previous HD Metal Gear Solid games were long and challenging for the platinum, Guns of the Patriots takes the cake. You will need to do a minimum of 8 playthroughs, and that's provided you managed to achieve your trophy-hunting and emblem-hunting goals in each. If you make a mistake, expect to do a ninth or tenth playthrough.

This 4-star rating is based on both time consumption (nearly 100 hours of gameplay) as well as skills involved.

There's no way getting around having to do 8 playthroughs, as you need to fulfill certain requirements to collect all the emblems. However, if you play your cards right, you can avoid having to perform more than eight. The game also includes a number of missable trophies you'll need to collect along the way - just make sure you've obtained them all at some point during your eight playthroughs. Check out the Metal Gear Solid 4 trophy guide links under our Links tab for further details.

NOTE: The trophies are not retroactive, which means if you've played and completed the game BEFORE the August 2012 trophy patch, you will not automatically acquire any trophies.

On your first playthrough, select Liquid Snake difficulty, and focus on acquiring The Chicken emblem. This includes having to play the game a total of 35 hours minimum, which makes this run an excellent opportunity to acquire the majority of the missable trophies, such as the "Doll" trophies, Flashback Mania, Sunlight!, Ghost Photophraph Addict, Crop Circle, and many others. By the end of this run, you should have hopefully 22 of the emblems collected. Check out the walkthroughs in our Links page for further details. Also, after having acquired The Chicken emblem, you will have obtained the Corpse Camo, which is necessary in the next step.

For your second playthrough, aim for the Assassin and Tarantula emblems. By the end of this run, you should also be able to obtain the Divine Wind and the I Just Don't Fear Death trophies.

Next, play the game four more times to acquire the next four emblems: Spider, Centipede, Leopard, and Jaguar. Also, use this opportunity to collect any other missable trophies you may have missed earlier. This includes the Infinite Ammo, Stealth Camouflage, and the I Am THE Expert On Weapons trophies.

Now, for the toughest part of the game, you'll be playing your seventh playthrough to acquire the Big Boss emblem. This will also unlock another 9 emblems, such as Hound, FoxHound, Fox, Raven, Pigeon, Wolf, Octopus, Mantis, and Scorpion, for a current total of 38 emblems.

Finally, load up your eighth and final playthrough, to acquire the remaining 2 emblems: Panther and Little Gray. After this, you should acquire the Sounds Of The Battlefield trophy, along with the Platinum.
