PlayStation Plus Free Games December 2023

The winter holidays are fast approaching, and to celebrate, Sony is releasing three free games which don’t really have anything to do with the winter holidays. But hey, free games are free games, which means more trophies to be had. And so, here is the next PlayStation Plus free games December 2023 line-up which will be available for download on Tuesday, December 5.

First, there’s LEGO 2K Drive, a cart racing game based on the LEGO franchise. The game features a story, side-quests, the ability to create your own vehicle with LEGO blocks, and plenty of destructible objects to smash through.

Next, there’s PowerWash Simulator, the hit simulation game developed by FuturLabs and released last year. Grab your power washing tools, and start cleaning a variety of projects including cars, houses, backyards, and amusement park attractions.

Finally, there’s Sable, the open-world exploration game by Shedworks. Players take control of the titular character Sable, a young girl who ventures into the desert in search of a mask, as a coming-of-age rite of passage in her nomadic clan.

All three PlayStation Plus Free Games December 2023 titles have Platinum trophies to unlock. Also, LEGO 2K Drive and PowerWash Simulator are available for both the PS4 and the PS5, while Sable is only for the PS5.

Sable is perhaps both the easiest and quickest Platinum to obtain. Many of the puzzles can be figured out even without a guide. Expect around 20-25 hours of gameplay.

PowerWash Simulator is arguably also a fairly easy game. There are a few challenges which may require a few tries, but for the most part, it is only time that you will need. Expect around 50-60 hours of gameplay for the Platinum. Also, completionists should take note that there are a few DLC packs which are not included with this freebie version, adding more trophies to the list.

Obtaining the Platinum on LEGO 2K Drive is also not particularly difficult, with only a few “On-the-Go” challenges may require some retries. This one is also more time-consuming than difficult, with roughly 55-65 hours of gameplay required.

PlayStation Plus Free Games November 2022

Happy Halloween! Sony is participating in the spooky festivities by releasing another set of freebies which do not actually have anything to do with Halloween – but hey, free games are free games, right? And so, here is their line-up for PlayStation Plus Free Games November 2022 available for download on Tuesday, November 1.

First, for both the PS4 and PS5, there’s Nioh 2, Team Ninja’s 2020 sequel to their popular new franchise. Create your own playable character, and battle yokai spirits in this action RPG set in medieval Japan.

Next, for both the PS4 and PS5, there’s Heavenly Bodies by Australian developer 2pt Interactive. This 2D puzzle platformer has you playing as an astronaut, exploring the zero-gravity environment of space while performing such duties as repairing space stations or mining for minerals.

Lastly, for the PS4, there’s the LEGO Harry Potter Collection which is actually two games in one, combining both Years 1-4 and Years 4-7. In this adventure platformer of the LEGO series, join Harry, Ron, and Hermione as they explore Hogwarts, solve puzzles, and collect LEGO pieces while following the story of the films.

Not only do all three entries for the PlayStation Plus free games November 2022 line-up have Platinum trophies to unlock, but since the LEGO Harry Potter Collection is actually two games in one, this means a total of four Platinums can be had.

Among these, Heavenly Bodies is the quickest and easiest Platinum to collect, requiring only around 5 hours of gameplay, if following a guide or walkthrough.

Both Years 1-4 and Years 5-7 in the LEGO Harry Potter Collection are fairly easy Platinums, requiring more time than skill, with roughly 25 hours of gameplay required for each.

While Nioh 2 has a sharp difficulty curve, the Platinum is arguably easier than its predecessor. Though expect anywhere between 70-80 hours of gameplay, depending on your skills.

PlayStation Plus Free Games December 2021

The silly season is coming up, and if you’re tired from all that shopping, why not relax at home with a controller in your hand? And so, here is the next line-up of PlayStation Plus free games December 2021 which are available for download on Tuesday, December 7.

First, there’s Mortal Shell for both the PS4 and PS5. This action RPG, first released eight months ago, plays similar to games in the Dark Souls franchise where players select one of the “shell” characters with different playstyles and engage in melee combat.

Next, for both the PS4 and PS5, there’s Godfall: Challenger Edition, another action RPG first released on the PS5 a year ago. Play as a member of the Knight’s Order and stop the coming apocalypse in this high-fantasy world.

Finally, on the PS4, there’s LEGO DC Super-Villains which was first released three years ago. Like many games in the LEGO-themed franchise, the game is an action-adventure platformer where players either take control of a villain from the DC Universe, or create a custom character, and battle against a rival group of supervillains.

All three of the PlayStation Plus free games December 2021 line-up have Platinum trophies to unlock.

As you would expect from a LEGO title, the Platinum for LEGO DC Super-Villains is by far the easiest, despite a few tricky races to accomplish, though will take around 30 hours of gameplay.

The Platinum for Mortal Shell is of average difficulty, though it depends on your experience in this genre, and needs around 25-30 hours of gameplay to unlock.

The difficulty in obtaining the Platinum for Godfall: Challenger Edition depends on how many hours you wish to spend farming for gear. Overall, getting all the trophies can be quite challenging, and will take around 70-80 hours.

LEGO City Undercover Trophy Guide

LEGO City Undercover Trophy Guide. Difficulty: **  An action-adventure based on the LEGO City brand. The Platinum is quite easy to acquire, though requires a fair amount of time to gather all the collectibles.

LEGO City Undercover

LEGO City Undercover is an action-adventure with platforming elements, and based on the LEGO City brand. The game was first released on the Nintendo Wii U in 2013, before being remastered and ported onto the PS4 and Xbox One in 2017. Players control an undercover cop who is able to perform various moves, as well as apply disguises which grant extra abilities. Players can also unlock and use other characters during the course of the game.

Police officer Chase McCain returns to Lego City, to find it has sunk into a place heavy in crime due to the escape of notorious criminal Rex Fury. Chase must find this criminal and restore peace and justice to the city.

LEGO City Undercover received positive reviews with an average score of 79%, praised for its story, humor, and level design, though criticized by some for its lack in co-operative multiplayer, and long loading time.

The game, and all its trophies, are quite easy to complete. Also, like most titles in the LEGO series, there are no missable trophies, and no online trophies to worry about. The only reason for the 2-star difficulty rating is the time required, as there is plenty to do post-game, and lots of collectibles to find.

Expect around 45 hours or so for the Platinum trophy.

Start by playing through the main story, which consists of fifteen Chapters as well as several Special Assignments. There are no missable trophies to worry about, though to save time, be sure to activate any red bricks you collect. Also, look for the Rex Fury Token which can be found at the end of Special Assignment 15.

Once you’ve finished the story, it’s time to do everything else. Start by purchasing the Rex Fury character and assign him as the Robber. Then, to save time, acquire the Super Color Gun Red Brick, which can be found on the top of the toy store in Uptown. You will need the Green color for the gun to acquire it.

After that’s done, you can now head into Free Play and search for all the collectibles in the Special Assignments. This includes character and vehicle tokens, red bricks, and a few other miscellaneous items. Be sure to check out the collectibles guides under our Links tab for more details.

Next, it’s time to find all the collectibles in the open world, as well as complete all the challenges. There are a total of 405 gold bricks to find, which is why this step is the most time-consuming. Again, check out the collectibles guides under our Links tab to make the search easier.

Finally, simply mop-up any other trophies you may be missing at this point. Check out the LEGO City Undercover trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you need and their requirements.

LEGO Batman 3 Beyond Gotham Trophy Guide PS4

LEGO Batman 3 Beyond Gotham Trophy Guide. Difficulty: **  A third-person action platformer and part of the LEGO series, based on Batman and other characters from the DC Universe. The Platinum is not difficult, though a little time consuming.

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham is a third-person action platformer and part of of the LEGO game series, based on Batman and other characters from the DC Universe. Similar to the previous LEGO Batman titles, players can select from an assortment of characters, battle enemies, solve puzzles, and collect Lego studs which are used as a currency. Individual characters possess unique abilities, such as flying, speed, or shrinking and enlarging objects.

Brainiac is up to no good, and has set a course for Earth with a devious plot. Once Batman learns what he's up to, it's up to him and the rest of the Justice League to stop him before Brainiac is able to fit the Earth in his pocket.

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham received generally positive reviews with an average score of 74%, praised for its variety of characters, challenges, musical score, and humor, though criticized by some for its repetitive gameplay and voice acting.

This is a low 2-star difficulty rating. While a few races can be a little tricky, both the game and Platinum is about as challenging as any other LEGO game in the series, as the action is easy and there are no missable trophies to worry about. The only other reason for the upgrade to 2-star is for the extra time required.

Expect roughly 30-35 hours of gameplay for the Platinum.

NOTE: The trophies on the PS4 have a separate list from those on the PS3.

If you've played other games in the LEGO series, then you should know the drill by now. Start by simply playing through the Story mode, which are made up of 15 levels, and the Bonus level. It's up to you if you want to start grabbing collectibles now, or simply enjoy the game and worry about them later. There are no missable trophies to worry about, as you'll be able to enter Free Play after completing the story.

Next, it's time to find all the Collectibles in Free Play mode. Before doing so, you'll need to at least have Atom for Level 3, Shazam for Level 5, and Poison Ivy for Level 8. You'll need to find all the Minikits, Red Bricks, Character Tokens, and Adam West in Perils. Be sure to check out the Collectible Guides under our Links tab for help with this.

Finally, it's time to mop-up any miscellaneous trophies you're still missing, such as destroying the hidden doughnut for the Doughnut Discoverer trophy, jumping on a bouncy object 50 tiimes for the Everyone Loves Bouncing trophy, or playing with two specific characters for their respective trophies. Check out the LEGO Batman 3 Beyond Gotham trophy guide links under our Links tab for details on what trophies you still need.
