Tales From The Borderlands

Tales From The Borderlands is a third-person, point-and-click graphic adventure based on the Borderlands game series. Divided into 5 Episodes, each consisting of 6 Chapters, players solve puzzles and make decisions that impact future events in the story.

Taking place on the planet Pandora, a place where Vault Hunters hope to find their riches, Rhys is a Hyperion employee looking for a promotion. Fiona is a con artist working with her sister. These two individuals come together in a series of events that will change their lives forever.

Tales From The Borderlands received critical acclaim with an average score of 84%, praised for its story, colorful characters, humor, and faithfulness to the Borderlands source material, though criticized for its glitches.

Similar to other such Telltale games as The Walking Dead or Game of Thrones, all the trophies in Tales From The Borderlands are story related. This means, regardless which decisions you make in the game, you will have the platinum after completing all five Episodes.

Expect roughly 12 hours of gameplay to get through all the episodes and unlock the Platinum.

NOTE: The Trophies on the digital PS4 version have a separate list than those on the PS3, yet the retail version all share the same list.

Since all the trophies are story related, the game doesn't require any roadmap. Simply play through the game, enjoy the story, and make any choices you like. You will automatically unlock a trophy after completing each chapter, plus an additional trophy at the end of the episode. There are five episodes in total, divided into six chapters.

The platinum will unlock after completing the final, fifth episode.

Enjoy!

PlayStation Plus Free Games: July 2017

Sony has just released their next set of free-to-play titles for PlayStation Plus members, available now for download.

On the PlayStation 4, there’s Game of Thrones, the episodic graphic adventure by Telltale Games, based on both George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series and its TV adaptation Game of Thrones, which tells the story of the Forrester family in the North. And Until Dawn, an interactive horror drama, developed by Supermassive Games, about a group of teenagers seeking survival through the night in the mountains against a psychopath.

For the PlayStation 3, there’s Tokyo Jungle, a post-apocalyptic survival in which players take on the role of an animal in an abandoned Tokyo. And Darkstalkers Resurrection, a 2D fighting game by Iron Galaxy Studios and published by Capcom, complete with online multiplayer and replay sharing.

And on the PlayStation Vita, there’s Don’t Die, Mr. Robot!, the indie game by Infinite State Games where players control a happy square-face and dodge everything that’s thrown at you. And Element41, an experimental platformer in which players control four elements with the sun and nature as the enemy. Don’t Die, Mr. Robot! is also a cross-plat with the PS4, while Element41 is a cross-plat with the PS3.

Among the six titles, only Game of Thrones and Until Dawn have Platinum trophies to unlock. Both of them are quite easy – particularly Game of Thrones, which doesn’t even require a guide – and can be completed in roughly 12 hours. Also, Tokyo Jungle is quite doable for achieving 100%, and needs about 20 hours of gameplay.

The game is divided into six episodes, which in turn are separated into a series of chapters.

The game takes place from the end of the third season of the HBO program up until the beginning of the fifth season. Players control five members of the House Forrester who hail from Ironrath in northern Westeros and control the Ironwood forest.

Game of Thrones 2014 received positive reviews, with an overall average score of 74%,. It was praised for its faithfulness to the source material, as well as its storytelling, but criticized by some for its ending and lack of context for players unfamiliar with the Game of Thrones franchise.

If you're familiar with the Telltale games, then you'll know how easy the platinums normally are. And Game of Thrones is one of their easier titles, with no missable trophies. Simply play through the story, all six episodes, and you'll have the platinum unlocked at the end of the game.

Each episode takes around 2 hours to complete, so expect roughly 12 hours for the platinum.

NOTE: The Trophies on the PS3 version have a separate list than those on the PS4.

The game doesn't require any roadmap. Simply start it up and play through to the end. Each trophy is related to completing a chapter, as well as for completing each final chapter. There are no missable trophies to worry about, no collectibles to find, no special challenges you need to do. Making choices only affect the story, and not the trophies.

So sit back, and enjoy!
