April showers are just about over. Yet, if you’re not interested in going outside just yet, there are some extra games to play. And so, here is the PlayStation Plus free games May 2026 line-up which will be available for download on Tuesday, May 5.
First, for the PS5, there’s Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, the action RPG released last year, developed by Leenzee and published by 505 Games. Set in an alternate history during the Ming dynasty, players take on the role of female pirate Bai Wuchang, exploring a war-ravaged land while facing supernatural horrors.
Next, for both the PS4 and PS5, there’s EA Sports FC 26, the football (soccer) game developed by both EA Vancouver and EA Romania, coming just in time for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup. The game incorporates several innovations compared to its predecessor, including dribbling mechanics, improved AI, and allows players to select challenges to complete in Manager Career.
Finally, for both the PS4 and PS5, there’s Nine Sols, an action platformer developed by Red Candle Games. Set in a fantasy-futuristic world which combines Taoism with cyberpunk, players control Yi who is on a quest for revenge by defeating the Nine Sols.
Among the PlayStation Plus free games May 2026 titles, all three of them have platinum trophies to unlock. Unfortunately, none of them are particularly easy.
Arguably, obtaining the platinum for EA Sports FC 26 could be considered the easiest among the three. However, this entirely depends on your experience with playing other games in the series. Also, there are a few online trophies to worry about. Expect roughly around 40 hours of gameplay for the platinum, depending on your EA Sports FC skills.
Next, unlocking the platinum for Wuchang: Fallen Feathers can be a little challenging, particularly since there are so many missable trophies. Be prepared to follow a guide while you play, for this one. Also, four full playthroughs are required. Expect around 50 hours of gameplay.
Finally, Nine Sols is quite a challenging game. You could get the platinum trophy in around 30 hours, however this is heavily skill dependent. Although the playtime required for the platinum is the shortest among the three games, Nine Sols is also arguably the most difficult.
