NHL 12

NHL 12 is a hockey video game under license from the National Hockey League, and is the 21st title in the NHL series published under EA Sports. New features include more interactive goalies, an improved physics engine, an improved Be A Pro mode, and the ability to play the 2011 NHL Winter Classics. The game also includes commentary by Gary Thorne and Bill Clement, as well as online multiplayer.

NHL 12 received positive reviews with an average score of 87%, praised for its improved gameplay, AI, and physics engine.

The offline trophies are of average difficulty, but extremely time consuming and will require a lot of grinding. On top of which, there are 21 online trophies, many of which require some serious skills and luck if you're doing them legitimately. If you have a boosting partner, then the difficulty level could be brought down to a 3-star, though will still require many hours of gameplay.

Expect over 160 hours depending on your skills, and far more if you're not boosting the online trophies.

When you first begin, you'll find yourself in the Winter Classic game between the Penguins and Capitols. Play as the Penguins up to the end, and you'll earn your first trophy, Winter Classics.

After that, you can start working on the Hockey Ultimate Team related trophies, of which there are eight. Select HUT from the main menu and create your team. Then, win a match against a team downloaded from the HUT servers, and you'll unlock the EAUHL 24/7 Victory trophy. Then work on collecting all the player, jersey, and logo cards for the Complete Set trophy, while also unlocking the Team Doctor and Past Their Potential trophies in the process. Finally, there are three HUT qualifying trophies which are unfortunately not stackable, which means you'll need to qualify for each playoff. Also, after winning one of the HUT monthly playoff tournament, you'll get the HUT Playoff Winner trophy.

Next, you can head into the Be A GM mode and work towards achieving Legendary status for the Legend GM trophy. To make this quicker, you can set the options to a none-game series. Also, there's no harm in turning off CPU trades and waivers, as well as the salary cap.

Then, there are the Versus-related trophies, to which there are three. You'll eventually need to reach level 25 for all three trophies: Versus Rookie, Versus Pro, and Versus Legend. These can be boosted, so if you're looking for a boosting buddy, check out the forums in our Links page.

After that, there's the five EASHL trophies. For the Every Man trophy, you'll need to play a full game for each of the five positions. Then, play as a goalie for the Taking Shots trophy. You'll need to play a monthly playoff, which is normally in the last week, for the EASHL Playoffs trophy.

Then, the only secret trophy, which is Hats Off To You, requires you to score three goals consecutively. Finally, you'll need to get the EASHL league match into overtime, then score in overtime to be the winner and unlock the EASHL Hero trophy.

With those out of the way, you can work towards the EASHL Rookie, EASHL Pro, and EASHL Legend trophies. This is where a lot of grinding comes in, as you'll eventually need to play over 150 games, and get 75 wins for an A- overall grade at minimum.

Finally, there are a number of Be A Pro related trophies, some of which require you to play on Pro difficulty. Check out the trophy guides in our Links page for the requirements for the last trophies that you still might be missing.

Good luck!

NHL 2K10

NHL 2K10 is an ice hockey simulation game, and the last title in the NHL 2K series to be released on a PlayStation console. The game is officially licensed from the National Hockey League and the NHL Players Association. New features include AI enhancements, true-to-life character models, rink intros for each arena, and improved goal celebrations. Randy Hahn and Drew Remenda add the broadcast commentary.

NHL 2K10 received lukewarm reviews with an average score of 67%, praised for its graphics and character animations, but criticized for its overly simplified game modes.

NHL 2K10 was released in September 2009, and includes 2 online trophies. Unfortunately, the online servers were shut down in November 2012, which means those two online trophies cannot be unlocked. Therefore, the Platinum for this game has become Not Obtainable.

NHL 2K10 includes two online trophies: Panthers Trophy and Coyotes Trophy. Since the online servers were closed in November 2012, these two trophies can no longer be unlocked. Therefore, the Platinum trophy for NHL 2K10 is now Not Obtainable. However, there are still 47 offline trophies that can be unlocked, so if you're still interested, then read on.

The game doesn't really require a roadmap, but if you're in need of some direction, we recommend starting with the Single Game related trophies, to which there are 20. These can be unlocked in any order of your choosing. Before starting a game, hit Triangle for Game Options and change the arena to Wrigley Field, then win the game for the It's Cold Out Here trophy. Do this again, only select Mini-Rink and win for the Mini Rink trophy. For the Canucks Trophy, simply select Vancouver and win against either the Rangers or islanders, to which the settings can be done on Easy with a one minute period. For details on the other single player trophies, check out the NHL 2K10 trophy guide links under our Links tab to see their requirements.

Once those are out of the way, you can head into Franchise mode. You'll need to win 17 games in a row for the Penguins Trophy. You can set the difficulty to Easy and boost all the player stats to 99 to make things easier when going for the playoffs. Once you defeat the other team in four games in the Finals, you'll win the Stanley Cup and unlock the Islanders Trophy, as well as several others in the process.

There are also two Create mode trophies to obtain. In the Main Menu, select Manage Roster and Create Team. Once you've gone through the process, you'll have unlocked the Rangers Trophy. Then, select Create Player and, once finished, you'll get the Ducks Trophy.

There are also a number of trophies related to reaching certain stats, which are accumulative. To view your progress, head into Trophy Room and hit Triangle. These include having played 500 games, earning 2000 points, getting 30 power play goals, etc. Since these are accumulative, we recommend saving these for last, and grinding for them after you've unlocked all the other offline trophies.

Unfortunately, with the online servers shut down, this is as far as we can go.

NHL 11

NHL 11 is a hockey video game under license from the National Hockey League, and is the 20th title in the NHL series published under EA Sports. New features include a new physics-based game engine to allow more natural plays and realistic interactions, as well as broken sticks, and a Hockey Ultimate Team mode in which players use earned packs of cards to improve their own team. The game also includes online multiplayer, of which the servers were closed on January 11, 2013.

NHL 11 received positive reviews, with an average score of 89%, with praise to its new physics-based game engine and presentation, and a few criticisms towards the game's AI.

NHL 11 was released in September 2010. Over two years later, the online servers were closed on January 11, 2013. The game includes 18 online trophies, which are no longer unlockable, marking the Platinum for this game Not Obtainable.

With the online servers closed as of January 11, 2013, the 18 online trophies cannot be earned. However, there are still 22 offline trophies that can be unlocked. So if you're interested, then read on.

Essentially, the game doesn't require much of a roadmap. But if you're looking for some direction, you can begin with the three Be A Pro mode trophies. All three of these can easily be earned, including the Filled Up trophy, as long as you're scoring one point per game.

Next, there are four trophies in the Be A GM mode. Check out the NHL 11 trophy guide links under our Links tab for more details, but basically you'll need to score with a newly-drafted player for the Proven Worth trophy, sign a level 3 restricted player for the Poached trophy, and obtain the Legend plaque for the Legendary GM trophy. As long as you win one of the four pre-season games, you'll earn the Good Preview trophy.

Next, there are seven EASHL trophies. Again, check out the trophy guides. For the EA SHL Veteran, you'll have to play 250 games with your pro player, and finish 8 practice games for the Practice Practice Practice trophy. Make sure, at some point, to use a custom jersey to earn the Custom Sweater trophy.

Then, there are thirteen trophies in the Hockey Ultimate Team mode. However, some of these require the online servers, which of course is no longer available, so check out the NHL 11 trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what's still available. You'll need to win a game on Pro difficulty for the HUT CPU Win trophy.

Lastly, simply mop-up any remaining offline trophies you still need. Unfortunately, with the online servers closed, this is as far as we can go.

At any time, you can adjust the sliders to make things easier, and make sure to win at least four out of the seven matches.
