PlayStation Plus Free Games October 2017

It’s that time of the month again, when Sony unveils their next line-up for PlayStation Plus Free Games October 2017.

On the PlayStation 4, there’s Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain, the next installment in Solid Snake’s adventures following Ground Zeroes and a prequel to the original Metal Gear titles. Also, there’s Amnesia: Collection, a 2-in-1 which includes the original 2010 survival horror The Dark Descent, and the 2013 title A Machine for Pigs.

For the PlayStation 3, there’s Monster Jam: Battlegrounds, where players race and crush their way to victory in behemoth monster trucks. And Hustle Kings, the billiards title which is also compatible with the Move controller and includes 3D functionality to truly feel like you’re at a pool hall.

Finally, on the PlayStation Vita, there’s Hue, the award winning puzzle adventure involving a journey through a grey land and discovering colored fragments. And Sky Force Anniversary, a revamp of the classic vertical-scrolling shoot em up arcade game. Hue is a cross-plat with the PS4, while Sky Force Anniversary is a cross-plat with both the PS4 and PS3.

Also, RIGS Mechanized Combat League for the PlayStation VR, which was offered as a free download for PlayStation Plus members last month, continues to remain available if you haven’t yet added it to your collection.

Among the PlayStation Plus Free Games October 2017, Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain, Amnesia: Collection, and Monster Jam: Battlegroundsย have Platinum trophies to unlock. Among them, Monster Jam: Battlegrounds is by far the easiest, requiring only 5 hours of gameplay. Amnesia: Collection is not too difficult if following a guide to find all those collectibles, and requires roughly 15 hours. Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain is of average difficulty, though will require well over 100 hours.

Also, while Hue can be tricky at times, less than 10 hours is required to unlock 100% of the trophies. Sky Force Anniversary needs some good shoot em up skills, though all trophies can be locked in 10-15 hours, depending on your abilities. Hustle Kings is perhaps the most challenging game to acquire 100% of the trophies, needing not only skills, but a lot of luck on your side.
