PlayStation Plus Free Games April 2021

Just three days after the huge news regarding the closure of the PlayStation Store on the PS3, PSP, and Vita, Sony made another announcement: the next line-up for PlayStation Plus free games April 2021 which will be available for download on Tuesday, April 6.

First, thereā€™s Days Gone, the post-apocalyptic survival horror by Bend Studio, released in 2019. Set in Oregon just a few years after a global pandemic turned humanity into zombie-like creatures known as Freaks, former US Army veteran Deacon St. John is doing his best to survive this nightmare while searching for his wife whom he believes may still be alive.

Next, thereā€™s Zombie Army 4: Dead War, a sequel to the 2015 Zombie Army Trilogy, which in turn is a spin-off of the Sniper Elite series. As evident by the title, this is another zombie-related title, which takes places in an alternate 1946 following Adolf Hitlerā€™s banishment to hell. Players can join their friends in co-op and take down wave after wave of Nazi zombies in this over-the-top B-movie like title.

And for the PS5, thereā€™s Oddworld: Soulstorm, the next installment in the Oddworld series. In this 2.5D side-scrolling platformer, players control Abe who must save his mudokon friends from slave labor. Oddworld: Soulstorm will be launching on the same day it is available as part of the line-up for the PlayStation Plus free game April 2021 on April 6.

All three titles for this line-up of PlayStation Plus free games April 2021 have Platinum trophies to unlock.

The Platinum trophies for both Days Gone and Zombie Army 4: Dead War are not particularly difficult, though both will take around 50 hours of gameplay.

Since Oddworld: Soulstorm will be first released on April 6, we unfortunately do not yet have any information on the difficulty of this Platinum.

Sniper Elite 4 Trophy Guide

Sniper Elite 4 Trophy Guide. Difficulty: ** A third-person tactical shooter and sequel to the 2014 Sniper Elite III. The Platinum is easier than its predecessor due to a lack in online trophies.

Sniper Elite 4

Sniper Elite 4 is a third-person tactical stealth shooter and a sequel to the 2014 Sniper Elite III. Similar to previous games in the series, an X-Ray kill cam is activated whenever the player fires at an enemy with a sniper rifle, displaying the bulletā€™s damage to the targetā€™s bones and internal organs. The game has included shrapnel, melee, and stealth kills, an improved enemy AI system, and larger maps which allow more open-ended gameplay.

Following the events in 1943 Italy in Sniper Elite III, SOE sniper Karl Fairburne is sent to the island of San Celini to assassinate General Tobias Schmidt and several key officers who are building a new Nazi weapon.

Sniper Elite 4 received generally positive reviews with an average score of 78%, praised for its mechanics, co-op multiplayer function, and overall fun.

This is a high 2-star rating, only because the Authentic difficulty playthrough can be quite challenging. However, there are far less online trophies to worry about, compared to the previous installment. At least two playthroughs are required for the campaign, one on Authentic difficulty which is the hardest mode. There are a number of collectibles to find, kill-related trophies to grind for, and several online co-op trophies to acquire. Overall, the road to the Platinum is no cakewalk, but certainly doable.

Expect around 30-35 hours of gameplay for the Platinum.

Start by selecting either Cadet or Marksman mode, which is Easy or Normal, and play through the 8 story missions, as well as the 2 Overwatch missions, until youā€™ve completed the campaign. During this run, itā€™s a good idea to keep a look out for collectibles, which come in the form of Last Letters, Letters from Home, and Letters to Home for The Collector trophy, sniper reports for the Greatest Hits trophy, and stone eagles to shoot for the A Bird In The Hand trophy. There are also some kill-related trophies you can be working on during your first playthrough, to reduce the amount of grinding required later. Be sure to check out the Sniper Elite 4 trophy guide links under our Links tab as well as the Collectible Location guides.

After youā€™ve completed the campaign, we recommend jumping into your Authentic mode playthrough, which is the hardest mode in the game, while the missions are still fresh in your mind. However, not only do you need to complete Authentic mode for the Are You Insane trophy, but do so without making any manual saves for The Best Of The Best Of The Best trophy. This means having to rely on the automatic checkpoint saves. Also, playing on Authentic mode means there is no aim assist or mini-map, and you will need to take into effect the wind resistance. Also, the enemies can take more damage, while the player-character takes less. If you have someone to play this in co-op, we recommend this as your partner can revive you.

Next, itā€™s time to mop-up the remaining single player trophies. This will probably include all those kill-related trophies, and finding any missing collectibles. Again, check out the Sniper Elite 4 trophy guide links under the Links tab to see what you still need and their requirements.

Last, itā€™s time to finish those online and co-op related trophies. Both multiplayer trophies can be done in a private match, if you have a boosting partner.

Happy sniping!

Sniper Elite III Trophy Guide PS4

Sniper Elite III Trophy Guide. Difficulty: ***  A third-person tactical shooter with stealth elements, and a prequel to Sniper Elite V2. Without boosting, some of the online trophies can be quite challenging.

Sniper Elite III

Sniper Elite III is a third-person tactical shooter with stealth elements, and a prequel to the 2012 Sniper Elite V2. Players traverse maps in North Africa, using a sniper rifle as a primary weapon to take down enemies. Other weapons are also available, such as pistols and submachine guns, and players can also set up bobby traps and land mines. Aside from the single player campaign, the game also includes online co-op and competitive multiplayer modes.

Taking place in 1942, three years prior the events of Sniper Elite V2, SOE sniper Karl Fairburne finds himself in North Africa facing against the Germanā€™s Afrika Korps, where he must find a means to sabotage a Nazi super-weapon program which could bring an end to the Allied resistance.

Sniper Elite III received mixed reviews with an average score of 67%, praised for its stealth and sniper gameplay, large environments, and gore kills, though criticized for its story, mission design, and technical issues with the online multiplayer.

The 3-star difficulty is mainly due to the online trophies, particularly the Highly Decorated trophy which involves earning ribbons for completing specific challenges in competitive multiplayer. The good news is, these can be boosted in private matches with two or three players. If you are boosting the online trophies, the difficulty can be brought down to a high 2-star. You will still need to complete the game on its hardest difficulty mode, play through the game in co-op mode, and find quite a few collectibles.

Expect around 25-30 hours for the Platinum if boosting the online trophies, and perhaps close to 50 hours if going for the online trophies legitimately.

NOTE: The trophies on the PS4 have a separate list from those on the PS3.

Start by playing through the campaign. You can select any difficulty mode you wish, as your main prerogative here is to collect all 125 collectibles. This includes 60 war diaries, 22 sniper nests, 20 collectible cards, 15 weapon parts, and 8 long shots. In addition, there are 18 optional objectives which should be completed during this playthrough. Doing all of this will unlock the Dedicated Soldier trophy. Be sure to check out the collectibles guides under our Links tab for extra assistance.

After that first step, you should have a good chunk of the trophies unlocked. Next, itā€™s time to use the chapter select and mop up any remaining single player trophies, which may include some of the mission specific ones. Be sure to check out the Sniper Elite III trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you still need and their requirements.

Then, itā€™s time for another playthrough, this time on Authentic difficulty, which is the hardest mode in the game. What makes Authentic difficulty challenging, aside from the upgraded enemies, is that there are no checkpoints. As a result, we highly recommend combining this playthrough with your co-op run, in order to also unlock the Sniping With Friends trophy. This way, if one of you dies, the other can revive their partner.

Lastly, there are four multiplayer trophies to unlock, which you can start on at anytime. The most challenging one is the Highly Decorated trophy. This includes obtaining a total of 18 ribbons, each corresponding to a challenge performed online. Each of these challenges must be done during a single online session, so for example, you must get give headshots in one session in order to obtain the five headshots ribbon.

Luckily, these can be earned in private matches. If you are looking for a boosting partner, check out our boosting forums under the Links tab.
