Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising Trophy Guide. Difficulty: ***  A military tactical first-person shooter and a sequel to the 2001 Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis. Due to the online servers being closed in 2013, the online trophy can only be unlocked via two PS3 systems connected via LAN mode.

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising is a military tactical first-person shooter, and a sequel to the 2001 Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis despite being developed by Codemasters rather than Bohemia Interactive. The game features over 50 different land, air, and sea vehicles, over 70 weapon types, with a large variety of facial features on characters, and realistic equipment carrying that visibly shows everything the player-character has in their possession. The game also includes both online competitive mode and storyline co-op mode with up to four players.

Taking place on the fictional island of Skira in May 2001 where both the People's Liberation Army and Russian Federation have fallen into conflict over its control. Bound by treaty arrangements made following the Cold War, the United States engages to help Russia retake the island.

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising received mainly positive reviews with an average score of 75%, praised for its intense action and excitement, though criticized by some for its issues with AI intelligence, bugs, and feeling overall unpolished.

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising is a game that requires some decent tactical FPS skills. At least one playthrough on Hardcore mode is required, and this is no cakewalk. Otherwise, most of the trophies can be unlocked through the game's Mission Select, so there's nothing missable.

Expect roughly 20-30 hours of gameplay for the platinum, depending on your skills.

NOTE: The online servers were closed in early 2013. However, the single online trophy, All Patched Up, can still be unlocked with two PS3 units connected via LAN mode and two copies of the game.

If you're in a mad rush for that platinum, and you feel confident enough with your tactical FPS skills, then start things off by playing and finishing the game on Hardcore mode. Be warned however, that this is no cakewalk. If you're not up to the immediate challenge, we suggest starting on Normal, then doing a second playthrough on Hardcore. It may take more time, but will save you on frustration.

Once you've eventually completed your playthrough on Hardcore mode, it's time to mop-up the remaining offline trophies. Simply check out the Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you're still missing and their requirements, then use the Mission Select to jump to wherever you need to go.

There is only one online trophy, which is All Patched Up, for field dressing an injured partner in co-op. Unfortunately, the online servers were closed in early 2013. This trophy is still unlockable, however will require you to connect two PlayStation 3 units via an Ethernet cable with LAN mode selected, and of course with two copies of the game available.

Nier Trophy Guide

Nier Trophy Guide. Difficulty: ***  A third-person action RPG and a spin-off from the Drakengard series, taking place on an Earth falling into decay. The Platinum is more time consuming than difficult, with a lot of grinding required.

Nier

Nier is an action RPG and a spin-off from the Drakengard series, set 1,000 years after the fifth ending of the first game released on the PlayStation 2 in 2004. Taking place on an Earth falling into decay, players control in third-person the main character Nier, battling enemies with either a variety of weapons or by casting spells, while gaining experience points to improve the player character.

After his daughter falls victim to an illness known as the Black Scrawl, Nier is joined with a talking book named Grimoire Weiss, as well as two characters Kaine and Emil, on a journey in search of a remedy to cure his daughter.

Nier received mixed reviews, with an average score of 69%, praised for its voice acting, music and interesting plot, but criticized mainly for its visuals.

As you can expect from an action RPG-like game, Nier is not particularly difficult. The 3-star rating is for the grinding and many hours you'll need to put into the game for unlocking the Platinum. At least one full playthrough is required, though most likely two, as well as replaying "half" the game several times.

Expect roughly 70-90 hours of play-time for this Platinum.

The game is divided into two sections, so ideally you'll want to play through the first section once and collect all the missable trophies, then keep repeating the second half until you've unlocked everything else.

As you play through the first section, make sure to kill 100 sheep for The Sheep Whisperer trophy, as there aren't any sheep in the second section. Also, there are 34 quests available in the first section, of which you need to complete 30 throughout the game for the Go-To Guy trophy. Also, complete the first five fisherman gambits, and buy all three weapons from the blacksmiths. Finally, make sure to collect six giant eggs, four eagle eggs, and fifteen black pears in Seafront. This should all be completed before entering the second section. The point of no return is when you get the quest to collect Vapor Moss from Popola.

As you play through the second section, you can use this opportunity to focus on grinding longer trophies, such as obtaining 1 million gold, as well as collecting and upgrading all the weapons, while also attempting to unlock some of the boss-timing trophies.

Next, load up a New Game+ at the beginning of the second section. All your weapons and experience will carry over. The main purpose is to unlock the second ending after completing the game, but this is also your chance to get any boss-timing trophies you missed, or further grinding required.

Then, load up a New Game ++ from the second section again, in order to get the third ending. Hopefully, you already have all the other trophies unlocked. If not, then try to make this your last chance so as to avoid another, unnecessary playthrough.

Finally, with everything completed, you should only have the Lightspeed Fighter trophy for completing the game in fifteen hours. This should be easy enough, and fifteen hours is plenty of time to make your speed run.

Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City Trophy Guide

Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City Trophy Guide. Difficulty: ***  A third-person shooter and part of the Resident Evil franchise, taking place following the events of Resident Evil 2. While the offline trophies are doable, the online are challenging without boosting.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is a third-person shooter, with a strong emphasis on action than previous titles in the series. The story takes place between the events in Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, featuring characters from both titles. The game includes both a campaign and online multiplayer.

The zombie outbreak has put Raccoon City into chaos. The Umbrella Security Service has sent Delta team in to retrieve the G-virus, and hopefully bring the outbreak under control.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, despite being a commercial success, received negative reviews with an average score of 49%, criticized for its overall poor design and seemingly low budget production.

While achieving S-Rank can be challenging, the offline trophies overall aren't too bad. The difficulty lies in the online trophies, which truly brings this rating to a high 3-star. With boosting, however, both the difficulty and time consumption is drastically reduced.

Expect to spend around 80 hours to achieve the Platinum, though half that time if you find enough boosting partners for the online.

While it's possible to go straight into Professional difficulty, we recommend beginning on either Casual or Normal, first. Not only will this give you a feel for the game, but also earn you some XP which can be used to unlock and upgrade abilities, which will help in the more difficult modes. Also, during your playthrough, keep an eye out for the 7 Raccoon Mascot collectibles, and keep note of some of the kill-related trophies which you can also be working on.

Once that's done, and if you haven't already done so, you can start your Professional playthrough. If possible, work towards achieving S-Ranks in each of the missions, which will save you some time later. After you've completed your Professional playthrough, you can go back and use the freeplay to gain the remaining S-Ranks you're missing.

The last major step, is unlocking the 11 online trophies in Versus mode. Boosting will highly cut back on the time required, as some of these trophies are extremely difficult. If you're interested, check out the boosting forums under our Links tab to find some online buddies to help you out.

Finally, if necessary, mop-up any other remaining trophies you still might need.

Tom Clancy’s EndWar Trophy Guide

Tom Clancy’s EndWar Trophy Guide. Difficulty: *****  A real-time tactics game that uses both a controller and voice commands to mobilize units. Not only is this challenging and extremely time consuming, but the Platinum will require both the disc and digital version of the game.

Tom Clancy’s EndWar ***** 53 Ubisoft Shanghai China 42 8 2 19 10

Tom Clancy’s EndWar

Tom Clancy's EndWar is a real-time tactics game in which players control one Unit with the controller, and another by ordering voice commands through a headset. Units include riflemen, engineers, tanks, helicopter gunships, transports, artillery, and command vehicles, each with a strength ans weakness against other units. The three playable factions include European Federation, Russian Federation, and the United States. Players can select between four mission types, as well as online multiplayer.

After a nuclear terrorist attack in Saudi Arabia that destroyed the oil supplies in the Middle East, the world has fallen into an energy crisis. This resulted in several countries forced to merge under joint federations, eventually creating international hostility.

Tom Clancy's EndWar received lukewarm reviews, with an average score of 72%, both praised and criticized for its voice command mechanic, criticized for its plain single player campaign, but praised for its multiplayer online.

The game is very difficult and extremely time-consuming, requiring at least 300-400 hours of gameplay, including the online trophies, if done legitimately. However, if you manage to find three other boosting partners, it's possible to unlock the multiplayer trophies quicker, bringing the time down to over 100 hours, and therefore the difficulty rating to 4-stars.

Also taking into consideration, however, is the fact that you need two copies of the game in order to unlock the Platinum. Yes, that's right. The Dog Of War trophy is glitched on the disc version, which means you will need the digital copy. And the Always Attack trophy is glitched on the digital copy, but doable on the disc version.

Finally, you will also need a headset for the Platinum.

Since you'll obviously want to get the hang of the game first, we recommend starting with the Voice Command Trainer, which not only teaches you how to play the game and which voice commands to use, but also net you the Communication Officer trophy.

Hardcore is available from the start, and the difficulty-related trophies are stackable. However, if you want to make things easier on yourself, we recommend playing through on Normal first, then a second playthrough on Hardcore. It may be more time consuming, but will save you much frustration in the end. Though of course, the choice is yours.

There are two main sections to the single-player: Prelude to War, which is a prologue campaign, and World War III, which is the main campaign. Both of these will eventually need to be completed on Hardcore. In addition, you'll need to complete World War II on Hardcore with each of the three factions. One tip we recommend, is saving after each game, and reload if you lose a campaign.

Finally, play twenty single-player skirmishes for the Training Simulator trophy. Since you don't need to win for the trophy, you can order your unit to Evacuate immediately after the game begins.

With all that out of the way, it's time to move onto the online. Here is where you'll be putting in the hours. Many of the trophies are quite difficult to obtain legitimately, such as winning three missions in a row for Always Attack (which requires the disc version) as well as Dog Of War (which requires the digital version) and several others, not to mention the difficulty in finding people online to play with who aren't already highly skilled in the game. If you plan to boost these trophies, check out the forums under our Links tab.

With all that completed, simply mop-up any offline trophies you may still be missing, then celebrate in earning one of the more difficult Platinums out there.

NeverDead Trophy Guide

NeverDead Trophy Guide. Difficulty: ***  An action game where the player-character loses limbs in battle and must be re-collected. The playthrough on its hardest difficulty mode is no cakewalk, and the online trophies can be challenging without boosting.

Game Name Difficulty Trophies Developer Country Bronze Silver Gold Online DLC
NeverDead *** 43 Rebellion Developments U.K. 31 7 4 6 0

NeverDead

NeverDead is an action title in which the player-character is immortal, losing limbs when taking damage, which he must then re-collect. Players must protect a female mortal partner, while also battling demons and solving puzzles.

Five-hundred years ago, Bryce Boltzmann was a demon hunter who fought against the Demon King Astaroth. After his wife was killed, Bryce had the Evil Eye implanted within himself, causing him to become immortal. Now, Bryce belongs to NADA, the demon hunting organization. Teamed up with a new partner, Arcadia, Bryce must save the world by fighting against a hoard of demons.

NeverDead received mixed reviews, with an average score of 51%. While some online magazines noted the game for being overall fun, others stated it to be dull with poor mechanics and repetitive levels.

The 3-star difficulty is mainly due to the online co-op trophies. Finding someone to play with can be a challenge in itself. On top of that, the trophies themselves - particularly The Completist - are quite difficult and can be frustrating, depending on both yours and your partner's skills. Also, a playthrough on the game's most difficult mode is required, which is no cakewalk.

Expect at least 20 hours on this Platinum, and far more depending on how many playthroughs you do, and your skills.

Hardcore difficulty is available from the start, and will need to be played in order to unlock the Never Dead trophy. So if you're in a rush for that platinum, and are that confident in your skills, then by all means. However, you may want to consider first playing on Easy to get used to the game itself, then another playthrough on Hardcore. The choice is yours.

Either way, you will unlock a number of story-related trophies along the way. In addition, there are 80 Major Collectibles to find throughout the game, so we recommend following one of the collectible guides under our Links tab. Also, there are some challenge-related trophies which are specific to certain levels. If you also want to get these out of the way on your first playthrough, then check out the NeverDead trophy guide links under our Links tab to see when they become available and what the requirements are. Keep in mind, however, that there is a chapter select. So missing any of these trophies isn't a big problem.

After your first playthrough, and if you haven't already done so, you can start up a second playthrough on Hardcore mode. If this is your next step, then it's also a chance to nab any missed trophies or collectibles along the way, to save time on mopping-up later.

Next, you can head online to unlock six more trophies. Here is where the game gets quite challenging, and the first part is managing to find someone to play the co-op with. If you're not having any luck, consider checking out the boosting forums under our Links tab. The most difficult of these six online trophies will be The Completist, which requires you to clear all the challenges on both Normal and Hard mode.

Finally, head back into your campaign, and mop-up any other trophies you might still be needing. Most likely this will include Big Spender, as well as a few others.

Good luck!
