Need for Speed: The Run

Need for Speed: The Run is a racing game, and the eighteenth title in the Need for Speed franchise. Players engage in street racing across real locations in the US, while overtaking and damaging other cars in a hybrid style of arcade and simulated racing. It is the first game in the series to allow the driver out of the car and travel on foot, as well as include a rewind following a crash. Online multiplayer is also included, with up to 8 players.

Jackson "Jack" Rourke is a mechanic and street racer, who owes money to the mob after starting his own business. Jack decides the only way out of his situation is to flee from the mob until he can enter a street racing event named "The Run," which will earn him enough money to pay them back.

Need for Speed: The Run received mixed reviews, with an average score of 66%, praised for its courses and racing experience, but criticized for the story, poor AI, and shortness of the game.

Quite possibly the most difficult in the Need for Speed series to Plat, as it requires some serious driving skills, a lot of time, and even luck. Some of the online trophies are quite challenging, and reaching level 30 will be a long grind. Also, many of the offline challenges will require some skills, as well.

Heavily depending on your skills, and even luck with the online trophies, this Platinum can take anywhere between 35-50 hours of gameplay.

You'll first want to play through the story portion of the game. Yes, there's a trophy for completing the game on Extreme Difficulty, but there's an easy way around this, if you prefer. After you've completed the game on Easy, or whichever mode you prefer, and have unlocked Extreme, visit the stage select and choose stage 10 - East Coast. Once you're at position 2 after beating the Mercedez-Benz and the next race begins, hit start and change the difficulty to Extreme. Now, it's just a matter of completing the final race to unlock the Win At Winning trophy! If you've having trouble with the last race, check out the video demonstration by TurboReiji under our Links tab.

During your initial playthrough, you'll want to also complete each of the Challenges and earn at least a gold for each, to unlock their specified trophy. There are 9 silver trophies for each of the set of challenges, which become available during the course of the game.

Once you've finished all that, you can head into multiplayer and start working on those 27 online trophies. The What Else You Got? will require someone in your friends list to have this game, in order to accept their challenge and beat their time score. So either start making friends online, check out the boosting forums under our Links tab, or simply use/make another account.

While reaching Level 30 will be the biggest grind, and most likely your last online trophy to collect, you'll want to focus on getting the Choices, One For All, and Bonus Wheel trophies out of the way, as these are not only the more difficult ones, but somewhat luck-based as well. After, just keep grinding until you hit Level 30 and unlock the Legendary trophy.

Finally, once all the online trophies are completed, you can head back into offline and mop-up anything you're still missing.

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Trophy Guide

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Trophy Guide. Difficulty: ***  A racing game and the sixteenth title in the Need for Speed series. The Platinum is more time consuming than difficult, with online trophies that can be challenging without boosting.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit is a racing video game, and the sixteenth title in the Need for Speed series. The game takes place in the fictional Seacrest County, where players compete in several types of races in an open world, featuring over 100 miles (60 km) of open road, and online multiplayer.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit received positive reviews, with an average score of 88%, praised for its graphics, beautiful setting, variety of gameplay, and overall fun.

With a boosting partner, this game's difficulty rating could be brought down to a 2-star, as you will need to play a total of 50 online games and meet all of the requirements. Given the game's age, this can be challenging to do without a partner.

The offline trophies can be tricky, such as getting gold medals in all the races. But for the most part, the game is more time consuming than challenging, particularly for players who are familiar with the Need for Speed series.

Overall, expect a minimum of 30 hours for the Platinum, and more if you don't have a boosting partner.

The first step is to select either a racer or cop, then play through the single player mode. It doesn't matter which you choose first, but we recommend completing everything you need to, including earning all the golds or distinctions, before switching to the other.

Once you've finished your playthroughs as both cop and racer, you can move on to the online trophies. There are 10 in total. These are possible to do on your own, though given the game's age, the challenging part is finding people to play with - and you'll need to complete a total of 50 races to earn all the trophies. If you're looking for a boosting partner, check out the forums under our Links tab.

Once you have all 10 online trophies unlocked, it's simply a matter of mopping-up any offline trophies you may still be missing. Check out the Need for Speed Hot Pursuit trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you need to do for each.

Vanquish Trophy Guide

Vanquish Trophy Guide. Difficulty: ***  A third-person shooter taking place in the near future with an AR suit that allows time to slow down. While not a particularly long game, the Platinum demands some serious skills.

Vanquish

Vanquish is a third-person shooter, with bullet hell elements, requiring constant quick reactions from the player. Players control a DARPA agent wearing an Augmented Reaction Suit, which allows the ability to enter AR mode, slowing time and allowing the player to target enemies.

In the near future, when Earth's growing population has caused the world resources to become scarce, the American government launches a space station in order to gather solar energy. However, the Russian government is overthrown by ultra-nationalist forces named the Order of the Russian Star, and have seized the space station. Sam Gideon, a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agent, is equipped with an Augmented Reaction Suit and sent in to take back the space station.

Vanquish received positive reviews, with an average score of 83%, praised for its visuals, fast pace action, and overall gameplay, though criticized by some for its short length and dialogue.

While not a particularly long game, Vanquish requires some serious skills in obtaining the Platinum. A playthrough on Hard mode is needed, with lots of collectibles to find. There's a chapter select to help mop-up any missing trophies afterwards. However, the Tactical Challenges mode is hard and frustrating, hence the 3-star rating.

Overall, expect around 15-20 hours on this one, though it really depends on your skills and ability to complete the Tactical Challenges.

Hard mode is available from the start, so if you're in a rush for that platinum, we recommend starting your playthrough there. During your run, you'll want to focus on collecting all the 112 Panglos statues. Check out the collectible guides under our Links tab for this. Also, you'll want to focus on not dying. If you die, simply return to the title screen rather than select Continue, which will void your death.

During this playthrough, avoid changing the difficulty level or using the chapter select, as this will stop you from unlocking the Survivor and ARS Operator trophies.

Once your playthrough on Hard mode is complete, it is now safe to use the chapter select. There are a number of miscellaneous trophies, so now is your chance to go through and mop them up. Check out the Vanquish trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you still need and how to obtain it.

Last, are the Tactical Challenges. There are 6 in total (5, plus one bonus) and completing these are quite challenging, and the reason why this game received a 3-star difficulty. Check out the walkthroughs under our Links tab for help with these.

El Shaddai Ascension of the Metatron Trophy Guide

El Shaddai Ascension of the Metatron Trophy Guide. Difficulty: ***  A third-person action with platforming elements and anime-style graphics. The majority of the trophies are quite easy, though one in particular marks this game as a challenging Platinum.

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron **** 50 Ignition Tokyo Japan 39 8 2 1 0

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron is a third-person action game which features platform elements. Development was lead by Takeyasu Sawaki, the character designer behind Devil May Cry and Okami. The game's aesthetic is in anime-style, inspired by such sources as Studio Ghibli.

Inspired by the Book of Enoch, players control Enoch, a scribe searching for the seven fallen angels to stop a great flood from destroying the world. Lucifel, a guardian angel responsible for protecting the world, though exists outside of time, assists Enoch in his quest.

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron received positive reviews, with an average score of 81%, praised for its deep yet easy to understand combat system, and fantastic visuals.

This is one of those games where the majority of the trophies are easy to collect. However, the Conqueror trophy, which requires you to earn a G rank in every chapter on Hard difficulty, is so challenging that it pushes the rating of this platinum to a 4-star.

While the Platinum could take anywhere between 30-60 hours, completion time is heavily determined by your skills. There is 1 online trophy, Battle For Honor, though it merely requires you to register your score rank.

Your first step is to simply play through the game from beginning to end, on Normal difficulty, which will unlock Hard and Extra. Along the way, you can look for the Bones of Ishtar found in the Underworld levels, attempt to get the Time In The Spotlight trophy in Chapter 7, try to complete Chapter 8 without dying, and steal every weapon in Chapter 10 for the I'll Take The Best You Have trophy. However, there is a Chapter Select available after completion, so if you simply wish to sit back and enjoy the game without worry, it's not a problem.

Once that's finished, select Extra difficulty and simply try to get through the game.

Unfortunately, the real challenge is still yet to come. After you've used the Chapter Select to mop-up any missing trophies, you'll still need to acquire the Conqueror trophy, which requires getting a G rank in each chapter. You'll need to do this on Hard mode for the trophy. Just be persistent and learn from your mistakes.

Good luck!

Naughty Bear Trophy Guide

Naughty Bear Trophy Guide. Difficulty: ***  An action adventure involving a teddy bear on an island of paradise. The Platinum requires some grinding and a few frustrating trophies, while the online can be challenging without boosting.

Naughty Bear Trophy Guide

Naughty Bear is an action adventure in which players control a teddy bear on an island of paradise, and participate in various missions in order to earn Naughty Points. While the characters do not speak, a narrator explains the course of the story, similar to a children's television show.

On Perfection Island, Naughty Bear has trouble making friends with the other teddy bears. After being uninvited to Daddles' birthday party, he decides to extract his revenge by going on a killing spree.

Naughty Bear received mainly negative reviews, with an average score of 31%, criticized for its repetition, awkwardness, and bugs.

While this is a low 3-star rating, the challenge in unlocking a few of the trophies, as well as the amount of grinding required, warrants a score higher than two stars. Getting 28 Platinum naughty cups can be extremely frustrating and will require hours of multiple tries. Also, earning a grand total of 250 million points across multiple playthroughs and replaying levels from the chapter select is a real grind. Finally, there are 2 online trophies which can be a bit tough if you haven't got the skills, or a boosting partner.

Expect 40-50 hours of gameplay, though it depends on your skills and luck with the Naughty Cups.

Since you'll be replaying several episodes on your route towards the Platinum, don't worry about trying to unlock as many trophies as possible during your first, full playthrough. Your main goal should be to simply get through each of the episodes and sub-missions. However, you can work on completing a number of, if not all, the kill-related trophies. Also, work on getting the gold cups, which you'll need for getting all the costumes.

Eventually, after you've gotten a gold cup in all the levels, you should have the costumes unlocked. This means you can next work on unlocking the costume-specific trophies. There are eight in total. Check out the Naughty Bear trophy guide links under our Links tab for more details on what you need to do for these.

Next, the hardest part in obtaining the platinum, is earning the 28 platinum cups for the Nutter!!!! trophy. Since there are 35 levels in total, you can skip 7 of them, such as the Top Hat challenges, which can be pretty tricky. However, we recommend selecting whichever levels you feel most comfortable.

If you managed to unlock the Nutter!!!! trophy, then congratulations! The rest is all about grinding for 250 million points for the Naughtiest Naughty Club trophy, as well as mopping-up any other offline trophies you still might be missing.

Finally, it's time to knock out those two online trophies. The first is simply for finishing first in a multiplayer match for the Leader Of The Pack trophy, and the second is for completing an assault matching without losing a unibear statue for Gloriosity! These, of course, can be done legitimately, though are far easier if you have a boosting partner.
