Shift Happens

Shift Happens is a 2D puzzle platformer in which players control a gelatinous being that can alter its size to small and more maneuverable, to large and heavy, similar to the character Toggle in LittleBigPlanet 3. The game includes multiplayer levels in which players must work together to solve the puzzles, and separate single player levels. The multiplayer function can be played either online or couch co-op mode.

Bismo and Plom are two gelatinous creatures created in a laboratory when, after an accident involving paint which gives them their orange and blue colors, also endows them with consciousness. They decide to make their way out of the laboratory and escape to freedom.

Shift Happens received positive reviews with an average score of 76%, praised for its level design, puzzle difficulty, and overall fun when playing in multiplayer, though criticized for its single player feature and overall simplicity and shortness of the game.

The game is not long, and the majority of the trophies are fairly easy to obtain. However, there are two trophies related to replaying the game in time trials, which is very challenging and leaves little room for error. One trophy is for completing the time trails in single player, the other is for doing the same with a partner in multiplayer. In fact, if not for these two trophies, the Shift Happens would have received a 1-star rating.

While technically the Platinum can be earned in around 20 hours, the difficulty of the time trials will require much practice, pushing the time to around 60-80 hours depending on skills.

NOTE: The multiplayer can either be played online, or couch co-op which will require a second controller.

Start by playing through both the single and multiplayer levels, while going for the bonus objectives as well as collecting all the coins in each. The single player has 32 levels to complete, while the multiplayer has a different set of 41 levels. It’s up to you which you do first, entirely dependent on whether you have a partner or not at the time. The multiplayer can be played couch co-op with a second controller, or online.

All levels in both single and multiplayer mode are divided into four stages: the laboratory, the forest, the canyon, and the grotto. Each stage has four trophies to unlock, one for completing each the single and multiplayer versions, then one for completing each while also collecting all the coins and completing the bonus objectives.

Once that’s done, it’s time to get all the miscellaneous trophies. Most of these, if not all, can either be obtained in either single player, or multiplayer with two controllers and just one player. Some of these may have naturally unlocked already. Be sure to check out the Shift Happens trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you still need, and their requirements.

Finally, it’s time for the time trials. This is where the difficulty really cranks up. Completing all 32 singleplayer levels under their respective time limits will unlock the Retry, Retry…And Retry trophy, and completing all 41 multiplayer levels under their time limits will unlock the Don’t Be Mad At Your Friend trophy. Between the two, the multiplayer time trials are arguably easier, provided that you have a good partner. The single player time trials, however, leave very little room for error. This will require a lot of patience, and practice, practice, practice.

If you manage to complete the time trials, then congratulations! You’ve earned yourself a well deserved Platinum trophy.

Nex Machina Trophy Guide

Nex Machina Trophy Guide. Difficulty: ***  A top-down twin-stick shoot ’em up. The Platinum will require some serious skills.

Game Name Difficulty Trophies Developer Country Bronze Silver Gold Online DLC
Nex Machina *** 39 Housemarque Finland 23 11 4 0 0

Nex Machina

Nex Machina is a top-down twin-stick shoot ‘em up, by the same developers as Resogun and Super Stardust Ultra. Players traverse through rooms, shooting waves of enemies while saving humans along the way. Throughout the levels, players can find power-ups and weapon upgrades. The game takes place across six different worlds, features over 100 levels, and includes local cooperative multiplayer.

Nex Machina received positive reviews with an average score of 88%, praised for its graphics, soundtrack, and overall fun, though criticized by some for its upgrade system.

While many trophies are not too challenging, clearing the game on Veteran difficulty will be what stops many players from unlocking the Platinum. The game itself is not very long, but you can expect a lot of replaying and practice. If you are familiar with Housemarque’s other titles Resogun or Super Stardust Ultra, than you’ll have an idea of the difficulty level. Nex Machina is arguably the most challenging Platinum of the three.

Expect anywhere between 15-30 hours for the Platinum, heavily dependent on your skills.

Start things off by simply playing through the game, from start to finish. If you’re new to these type of shoot ‘em up games, you might want to start on Rookie mode, before advancing to the more difficult levels.

But if you have the skills and experience, we recommend playing through on Experience mode first. This will unlock both the Rookie and Experienced trophies upon completion, as well as give you a real feel for the difficulty level. Along the way, you will also unlock a few other trophies naturally.

Once that’s done, it’s time to go for the 1CC trophy, which requires playing through on Experienced mode without using any continues. You won’t need to defeat Nex, only play up until the Nex Machina. If you’re having trouble with this, check out some of the videos under our Links tab.

Due to its difficulty, we recommend saving your run on Veteran difficulty last. So after getting the 1CC trophy, it’s time to collect all those miscellaneous trophies. Be sure to check out the Nex Machina trophy guide links under our Links tab for more details on each specific trophy.

By this point, you’ll also want to complete 100 feats for the Fea(s)ts! Trophy. There are a total of 220 feats to choose from, so go after whichever ones you feel are easiest for.

Now, it’s come time for that run on Veteran difficulty. This is what blocks a lot of players from getting the Platinum, as completing the game on Veteran is no easy task. This is also why we recommend saving it for last, as by know you should hopefully be quite experienced with the game. If you’re having serious problems, be sure to check out the videos under our Links tab.

After completing your run on Veteran mode, you will have unlocked Master difficulty. If you’ve been following our roadmap, than completing one level on Master difficulty should be the last feat you need to do, in order to unlock that Platinum. But have faith – since you’ve already played the entire game on Veteran, than this shouldn’t be too hard in comparison.

Good luck!

Detroit Become Human Trophy Guide

Detroit: Become Human Trophy Guide. Difficulty: **  A third-person adventure set in a futuristic Detroit. The Platinum is quite easy to obtain, only requires a little time.

Game Name Difficulty Trophies Developer Country Bronze Silver Gold Online DLC
Detroit: Become Human ** 49 Quantic Dream France 40 5 3 0 0

Detroit: Become Human

Detroit: Become Human is a third-person adventure set in a futuristic Detroit City. Similar to the developer’s previous title Heavy Rain, players control multiple characters depending on the story’s scene, with the possibility of the character’s death while the story continues. Decisions and actions made by the player impact the story, resulting in various scenarios per scene, as well as numerous possible endings to the overall story.

Set in a future Detroit where androids have become common household and corporate products, Connor is a police investigator android in charge of hunting down androids that are deviating from their programmed behavior. Meanwhile, androids are beginning to develop artificial consciousness and wishing to free themselves from their bondage.

Detroit: Become Human received positive reviews with an average score of 79%, praised for its interesting characters, environment, and overall captivating story and gameplay, though criticized by some for its controls and black-and-white decisions.

The Platinum is not very difficult, as you can play the game on Casual mode. The only reason for the 2-star difficulty is that there is a bit of time required. At least one full playthrough is required, with a lot of replaying scenes. A scene select is available, so technically none of the trophies are missable.

Expect around 20-25 hours for the Platinum if you are following a walkthrough and don’t make too many mistakes.

If you’re in a rush for that Platinum, you may wish to follow one of the trophy walkthroughs under our Links tab. Keep in mind however, this will obviously spoil the story. Also note, that you can play the game on Casual mode throughout, which will make unlocking the Undefeated trophy easier to unlock.

For your first playthrough on your road to the Platinum, you’ll want to focus on getting the Survivors trophy, which means everyone must survive at the end of the game. You’ll also want to take a peaceful route with Markus, and become friends with Hank. Also, during this playthrough, avoid losing any quick-time events for the Undefeated trophy.

There are a few other miscellaneous trophies you can unlock during your first playthrough, so be sure to check out the Detroit Become Human trophy guide links under our Links tab to get familiar with these, and what scenes they become available to unlock.

Next, you can use the scene select to start getting the other required endings. By replaying the last few scenes, you can unlock the Confrontation, Liberation, Escape Death, and Mission Complete trophies quite quickly. Again, check out the Detroit Become Human trophy guide links for more details on these.

After that, it’s a matter of getting the darker endings where everyone dies, and making different decisions than in your previous playthrough. Here is where things get tricky, so we recommend checking out the walkthroughs under our Links tab for details.

Moss Trophy Guide

Moss Trophy Guide. Difficulty: *  An action adventure game with puzzle elements for the PlayStation VR. The game is overall quite short, and with only one tricky trophy.

Moss * 39 Polyarc U.S. 22 9 7 0 0

Moss

Moss is an action adventure with puzzle elements for the PlayStation VR. Players control Quill, a mouse who is aware of the player’s presence. Quill must navigate environments, solve puzzles, and battle enemies, while also able to provide hints to the player through the use of sign language.

The player is in a library reading an old book, when suddenly is transported to the book’s fantasy land. There, the player meets Quill, a young mouse who must save is uncle from Sarffog, a fire-breathing snake.

Moss received positive reviews with an average score of 87%, praised for its world design, interactions between the player and player-character, and overall fun, though criticized by some for the shortness of the game. The game received numerous nominations and awards for Best VR Game by several online magazines.

The one-star difficulty is mainly due to the time required, which is very little. The game is overall quite short, and it’s possible to unlock the Platinum after one playthrough. Most of the trophies are either story-related, for finding collectibles, or a few simply miscellaneous tasks. A chapter select is available, so none of those trophies are missable. The only challenge is the Protector Of The Realm trophy, which requires playing through the game without dying. However, with back-up saves and some quick re-loads to the previous checkpoint before dying, this is not too difficult.

Expect around 3-6 hours for the Platinum, depending on how many playthroughs you do.

NOTE: The game requires the PlayStation VR.

It is entirely possible to obtain the Platinum in one playthrough. This will involve unlocking the Protector Of The Realm trophy for not dying, as well as finding all the collectibles and completing a few miscellaneous tasks.

However, keep in mind that the game is quite short, and can be completed in under two hours. Also, getting the Protector Of The Realm will certainly be easier if you’ve already done one playthrough and so are aware which areas may be difficult to get through without dying.

There are two sets of collectibles in the game. There are a total of 31 Fragments, and 375 Relic Dust. If you fail to find them all during your playthrough, you can use the Chapter Select to revisit areas in the game. Each chapter will reveal how many Fragments and Relic Dust you have, which makes it easier to mop up what you are missing.

There are a also a few simple, miscellaneous trophies to unlock as well. Be sure to check out the Moss trophy guide links under our Links tab to see details on these.

When going for the Protector Of The Realm, it’s a good idea to occasionally back-up your save either to the PS+ Cloud or on a portable HD, which you can re-download and use should you die. Also, when you are about to die, you can quickly pause the game and select to reload the previous checkpoint. If you are going for this trophy on your first playthrough, keep in mind that you will die after being hit three times, or if you fall off of a platform. Also, the surveillance eyes in the last few chapters have a one-hit kill, as well as the final boss if he grabs you.

Teslagrad Trophy Guide

Teslagrad Trophy Guide. Difficulty: *  A 2D side-scrolling platformer with puzzles. If following a guide, the Platinum can be unlocked in just a few hours.

Game Name Difficulty Trophies Developer Country Bronze Silver Gold Online DLC
Teslagrad * 37 Rain Games Norway 24 8 4 0 0

Teslagrad

Teslagrad is a 2D side-scrolling platformer with puzzles. The environments are hand-drawn, with an inspiration from the steampunk genre. Players use electromagnetic powers to explore and find their way through an abandoned Tesla Tower.

In the Kingdom of Elektropia, a young orphaned boy is chased by the King’s guards and finds refuge inside a deserted tower, known as Teslagrad. There, he uncovers the secrets of the conflict between the King and the technological wizards who created the tower.

Teslagrad received mainly positive reviews with an average score of 78%, praised for its hand-drawn artwork, music, and fun puzzles, while criticized by some for its difficulty at times.

This is a high 1-star difficulty, only because some skill and even luck is involved. All the trophies are related to finding collectibles in the form of scrolls. Most of these scrolls are easy to get, especially if following a guide, while a few can be a bit tricky. Completing the game isn’t eve a requirement for the Platinum.

If following a guide, expect around 5-6 hours for the Platinum, depending on your skills and luck.

NOTE: The trophies on the PS4 share the same list with those on the PS3 and PS Vita.

All of the trophies are tied to collecting collectibles in the form of scrolls. There are a total of 36 scrolls, each with their own respective trophy. Find all 36 scrolls, and you will unlock the Platinum. Completing the story is not necessary, unless of course you are curious how the story ends.

Nothing in the game is missable, as you can always backtrack to previously visited areas. Also, you can check and see which scrolls you are missing by pressing the touch pad and Right on the D-pad.

If you want to get the Platinum as quickly as possible, check out the trophy walkthrough guides under our Links tab. These will also help with solving the puzzles.

If you want to take your time and enjoy the game, feel free to do so. When you’re ready to gather any missing scrolls, check out the Teslagrad trophy guide links under our Links tab to see where and how to find any scrolls you still need.
