PlayStation Plus Free Games February 2020

Trophy hunters rejoice! Sony is giving away quite a few titles for PlayStation Plus members next month, which means more trophies and more Platinums. Here is the line-up of PlayStation Plus Free Games February 2020 available for download on Tuesday, February 4.

First, there’s the BioShock Collection, which includes BioShock, BioShock 2, and BioShock Infinite, all originally released on seventh generation consoles, and revamped for the PS4. These are first-person shooters with RPG elements, where players defend themselves with an assortment of weapons, including strange genetic-enhancing powers, while exploring a dystopian city underwater and in the sky. The BioShock Collection also includes all single-player DLC.

Next, there’s The Sims 4, the next installment in the popular life simulation series. Create your characters, fulfill your career goals, find love, start a family, and build the house of your dreams.

Finally, as an added bonus, Sony is also giving away Firewall: Zero Hour, a 4v4 online multiplayer shooter for the PlayStation VR. Accept contracts from agents Mother and Father, and complete objectives while fighting off enemy teams.

All games in the PlayStation Plus Free Games February 2020 line-up have Platinum trophies to unlock. This means a possible total of five Platinums.

For the most part, The Sims 4 is perhaps the easiest Platinum to unlock. However, expect to put in at least 30 hours of simulated gaming.

The first BioShock is also not overly difficult if you use an exploit that allows you to complete only the final scene on Survivor mode. Otherwise, all three BioShock titles require some decent skills, but their Platinum’s are still doable for average gamers.

Firewall: Zero Hour’s Platinum is extremely difficult to unlock without boosting.

Bioshock 2 PS4

Bioshock 2 is a science-fiction horror, first-person shooter, and a sequel to the 2007 critically-acclaimed game, inspired by the writings of Ayn Rand. The game was originally released for the PS3 in 2010, then ported onto the PS4 in 2016 as part of BioShock: The Collection, which includes the DLC but not the online multiplayer.

Taking place eight years after Bioshock, the player takes control of "Subject Delta," a new Big Daddy prototype, revived in Rapture by Eleanor, a teenager controlling other Little Sisters. With a new assortment of bizarre weapons and powers, Subject Delta fights his way against Splicers through the remnants of Rapture.

Reception was generally favorable, with an average score of 87%. While not as visually stunning as its predecessor, most critics agreed that the storytelling is just as engaging, with yet another twist at the end.

The trophy list for Bioshock 2 on the PS4 has been somewhat altered from that on the PS3, which shaves off playing time on the way to the Platinum. The PS4 version lacks a multiplayer mode, so there are no online trophies to worry about. Also, it should be noted that the DLC Protector Trials and Minerva's Den has been included in the game, but still is not a requirement towards the Platinum. Overall, the game adds more challenge than time, though could be considered a 2-star difficulty for players who already have experience with the PS3 version.

Expect anywhere between 15-20 hours, depending on skills and prior experience.

It's possible to acquire all the trophies - including the Platinum - in one go. This may not be so difficult for players who experienced the game on the PS3, though could prove incredibly frustrating if this is your first time. Otherwise, you may wish to take this in two strides

The first involves playing on Easy mode, finding all collectibles and unlocking all miscellaneous trophies. This will require both a collectibles guide, as well as a Bioshock 2 trophy guide, so be sure to check out those out under our Links tab. Also, if you hope to get the Platinum in only two playthroughs, then disable the Vita Chambers to unlock the Big Brass Balls trophy. Also, as a word of warning, remember there is NO chapter select or free roam.

With all those trophies taken care of, select the hardest difficulty, and just get from start to finish. This is also a good opportunity to grab any miscellaneous trophies you missed during your first playthrough. Overall, hard mode is not too challenging, especially for those with experience.

And since there are no online trophies to worry about on the PS4, you should hopefully have your Platinum after that.

Bioshock 2

Bioshock 2 is a science-fiction horror, first-person shooter, and a sequel to the 2007 critically-acclaimed game, inspired by the writings of Ayn Rand.

The game also includes online play.

Reception was generally favorable, with an average score of 87%. While not as visually stunning as its predecessor, most critics agreed that the storytelling is just as engaging, with yet another twist at the end.

Though it's possible to obtain all offline trophies in one go, getting both Big Brass Balls (which means not using the Vita-Chamber "checkpoints") and Against All Odds (completing the game on Hardest difficulty) at the same time, could be pretty trough. Unless you're a wiz, expect to play through the game twice.

There are online trophies as well, though not particularly difficult ones. Expect around 40-50 hours of gameplay, depending on skills.

It's possible to acquire all the offline trophies in one go, but could prove incredibly frustrating. Otherwise, you may wish to take this in two strides: the first, collecting all offline trophies while playing on Easy mode - which includes disabling the Vita Chambers for the Big Brass Balls trophy, and finding all the collectibles. Use the walkthroughs and guides under our Links tab to help you. Also, as a word of warning, remember there is NO chapter select.

With all those trophies taken care of, select the hardest difficulty, and just get from start to finish. Afterwards, all that should be left are the online trophies. These are more time-consuming than difficult - just keep grinding till you get them all. It's been rumored that Mother Goose, which requires you to save a Little Sister in a non-private match, is glitchy. If you don't get the trophy the first time, it may take two or three more tries until it unlocks.
